Why Exactly Did Bungie "Nerf" The Nightfall?
After reading the Weekly Update at the recommendation of my clan leader, I found information that I find more or less...interesting. Apparently the Nightfall is being "nerfed". How is it being nerfed you may ask? Well the unfavorable consequence of being kicked to orbit after wiping during the Nightfall will soon be removed in the next patch. Now I often albeit, unintentionally come off as sounding to put it lightly: like an [i]arrogant elitist son of a bitch[/i]. Today, I'll try to refrain from sounding like that as I address what I think, is not only a problem, but a major slap in the face to talented players. I know Destiny's endgame content is no where near the difficulty as WOW's Raids and Dungeons. However, they still require a decent team to merit beating the content without significant difficulty. I believe removing the only part about the Nightfall that makes it an event to be taken seriously isn't a good idea and makes Destiny even less skill based than it already is and makes it an even easier game to play which really isn't going to be fun when you're someone like me who's put 1300 hours into Destiny over 5 characters and knows the game inside and out. We like a nice challenge and we demand it from a game like this. I truly don't understand Bungie's reasoning behind this decision and I certainly don't find it a positive one.
If you agree with this then bump it so Bungie can see it and make the correct choices in TTK!

7 RepliesLuckily Bungie still allows you to select harder difficulty !! That's right all you MLG dark souls "this games too easy fanatics" ....Bungie will still allow you to make nightfall harder in TTK. [b]how you ask? [/b] [b]well it's simple. Just select gear that's 2 levels below nightfall. Some green gear will work best. Now equip some older lower attack guns ....maybe the khostov perhaps. And then load up the nightfall. If you die use the honor system and ghost yourself to orbit the old fashioned way and try again for a flawless run[/b] Go ahead. Give it a try in the next nightfall. And if it's still too easy. Select quit, insert Bloodborne or dark souls disc into your system and play that instead. Please. Or play any other game and stop asking for Bungie to make the "best slot machine rewards missions of Destiny harder". Thank you. Have fun guardians, after all it's a video game ....[spoiler]and video games are marketed for kids, as a fun product, kinda like this one was marketed. Sorry. I'll shut up now an load my angry birds minecraft back up ...[/spoiler]
