Not meant to be an elitist thread. Just wondering people's opinions. I think seeing the lighthouse was a legitimate endgame activity. More then getting golden chests... just a thought
Edit: bunch of interesting opinions. Some people seem like elitists, others seem like they just never want to play pvp which is a fine argument. It's not changing now so it doesn't actually matter. Personally I just see it as a critical part of completing everything year 1 had to offer, that's all.

I wouldn't say lighthouse, but getting rank 5 in one iron banner wouldn't be asking too much.
-
Triumphs shouldn't be rng based. There is no skill based matchmaking, so for some unlucky people, they will never be able to get to the lighthouse.
-
Doesn't matter to me. Been there done that and got the emblem.
-
With all the cheating really concentrated there it wouldn't be fair, I think. I am getting better at PvP, my stats are dragged down by early Thorn bounty, but I only played 2 trials matches and went 0-5 both times. Both times I couldn't damage anyone and their connection was going red/green/red....
-
I bet a lot that said yes were actually carried through for there flawless.

Edited by VoxNovo: 8/31/2015 3:47:10 PMI've been to the lighthouse, but I don't think it should be. Nor do I feel you should need flawless raider, which would be the PvE equivalent of the Lighthouse. If anything, it should maybe include something like: "win XX games in Trials".
-
No, its far too difficult for an emblem that simple shows your completion of year one.
-
-
For -blam!- sake... Are the rewards for flawless not good enough already?
-
Yeah, it's definitely a moment of triumph

PvP is not End-Game

Edited by I Pye: 8/31/2015 1:27:12 PMI don't think it should as most of the game is catered towards pveers. That's where most of people's time is spent. People who don't enjoy pvp shouldn't be forced to get good at something they don't enjoy. Let's face it most of us brought this game for the pve not the pvp
-
The flawless raider achievement should be one
-
I think so, it's a moment of triumphs and that seems like a pretty good triumph to me. The emblem isn't just a year one emblem that should be easy to get, it should be completing the hardest things in destiny. That includes flawless..
-
No and not just because i haven't gotten it. Skolas is a set difficulty and not really hard. Trials difficulty is dependant on the random enemies that are chosen for you and most times if they start losing they start lagging suddenly and can't be killed. If trials was fixed and they actually matched you with people of a similar skill I'd agree.

Edited by Anita_Makeit: 8/31/2015 1:02:16 PMLol yep! If I had to do skolas hell yeah! Eff skolas!
-
-
Yeah. If it included the pinnacle of pve it should include pvp
-
They should have at least put that you needed to win it maybe just play a few rounds in trials. Since they put skolas in their they should have added something for trials since they did put crucible in there. I never went flawless because reasons and just know don't really care if I do or don't. I would like to but I won't die if I don't.
-
It should've, but in reality there are too many cheaters
-
The only reason I say yes is not to feel more "special" as some say but because it includes the most difficult pve content, so why not pvp? To make it more reasonable for those not good at pvp it should have at least required 9 wins on a passage. That way you don't have to go flawless but at least get to 9 wins without 3 losses.
-
People who have gotten it want it to be there so they can feel extra special. People who can't get there don't want it because they want the emblem. As simple as this gets.
-
No, the PvP in this game is to unbalanced for it to be fair, especially if you are like me and have gotten two mentor missives ever, and neither had thorn...
