The auto rifle nerf was justified but overdone, and here's why:

Ahhhhh... the great time where auto rifles ruled the crucible and crucible related events and accessories. The time of auto. And now, Think of a machine gun... Kind of low rate of fire... Little small magazine... High impact... Pretty high stability... That's right! The SUROS regime before the nerf! See where I'm going with this? Auto rifles were like mini-machineguns. They took out a super (BD, GG, radiace...) in no time. Something that's not supposed to happen with an auto rifle. Back then, people in the crucible didn't really care about heavy ammo as much as they do now. Why? Because they already had a machine gun in the primary slot under the title "auto rifle". That, my friends, is wrong. Should not happen. The nerf was justified. So bungie, with all good intentions to create a balanced PVP, nerfed the auto rifles. But they nerfed them too much. So much, to make the obsolete. Nobody actually uses auto rifles in the crucible, not to mention the Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner. Auto rifles are the most fun to use. Why? Because, like it or not, they require the least skill to use. Anyone can pick up an auto rifle and go positive, or atleast close (by positive I mean KD above 1.0). We can only hope that the upcoming weapon "balancing" will actually create balance like it's supposed to, and not create another "auto rifle era", "Thorn/TLW era", "blink+shotgun era". This game is interesting. Not entirely interesting, but it has promise. ~MichaelO26M, out.
yes I copied TheGreatNike, who doesn't?
