needs a damage increase, it's very weak in PvE.
Edit: some people have mentioned it an I will put it here; a very simple buff to GG would be to let it hit precision shots.
As stated by Mikey T314, this would make it follow the Gunslingers philosophy of "the one perfect shot"

I hope you realize that with Celestial Nighthawk you can so almost 40,000 at its max. With a buff to that the damage would be overpowered. With it you can nearly one shot Crota's oversoul , and can drop bosses in nightfalls in seconds with three hunters

Golden Gun hits stupid hard as it is and does not need a buff. It lasts insanely long and it instantly kills anyone and anything in PvP. There's a reason that it's referred to as "GG" and it's not for abbreviation purposes.

Precision shots all the way!

Nighthawk

Edited by Tower0426: 8/19/2015 4:19:28 PMGG does not need a buff - here's why: -It has the easiest time generating the max amount of orbs. (tied with Radiance) -With Symbiote you can shoot off 4 shots. -With Keyhole and Combustion you can clear out multiple enemies with each shot. -With Celestial Nighthawk you can one-shot any yellow health enemy in the game or just deal a massive amount of damage to a boss. -It makes up for not being able to do large AoE damage by being a multi-shot, mobile super where you can fire it off, reposition and repeat. It does not need a buff. The class itself needs a small buff to utility, but even that is debatable. PS. Hunter was my first class and it is the class that I have played the most, specifically Gunslinger.

I was talking about precision Golden Gun shots today. I think it should be part of the zoom perk on the Arachnid helmet only though. Really it would only affect PvE enemies like majors and ultras.
-
is this a joke?
Celestial Nighthawk
-
It does hit criticals. Try it out. The numbers don't turn yellow but the damage modifier is there.
-
add precision damage
-
The only thing I care for is being able to crit. I've always wondered about the design decision behind keeping that from the gameplay.
-
I could go with some precision damage.
-
It really could use a buff. A non-boss enemy that gets hit by it should be dead, especially if they don't have a shield, but yellow enemies usually take multiple shots to kill. There's no reason for that. Arc Blade could use a PvE buff, too. It's way too much risk to bother with as it is.
-
There are exotics that help it out, if there were no exotics that helped boost it i would have agreed with you
-
At least give it the ability to get crit shots, maybe with a 2.0 multiplier
-
It needs a buff and a nerf, increase damage and remove all aim assist and bullet bending
-
Personally I prefer Gunslinger in PvE. With ability's that allow me to chain precision shots and increase my reload speed, take out enemies with ease using golden gun etc.
-
Agreed. The subclass as a whole is completely underwhelming in pve with next to no utility bar the occasionally being able to do some extra damage. The Bladedancer is far more useful and fun to play.

Bumb, even with the nighthawk boost, the golden gun is way to weak
