The Grimoire score, something many of us cherish and have worked so hard to increase or max has been removed from the emblem nameplate insignia? Why?!?! Why do we need to see both base AND light levels on the emblem card? Eventually everyone will be level 40, and people can easily inspect to view this redundant info. Grimoire is a great way to instantly distinguish between more accomplished and engaged players than viewing whether they are base level 30 or 40. I agree with many of my group members here that removing the grimoire from nameplate is not something the endgame community wanted. The now nearly 3000 of us worldwide who have worked, grinded, and spent countless hours perfecting destiny feel this is our identity and would really undermine the incredible tasks we accomplished in literally beating every challenge the game has to offer.
We already are under rewarded with our achievement considering there is really no reward or incentive to obtain the maximum obtainable grimoire, that however has not stopped myself and my fellow group mates from doing it. In addition if what is stated in this post is true, not only will this trend continue, but you will this will take away the very identity my entire group has worked so hard to earned and deserve to keep. Please do the right thing Bungie ^.^
Here are some example Nameplates with the grimoire remaining. (Provided by: Grandmasters of Grimoire)

Thanks for bringing this up, I'll let the devs know that you really enjoy seeing the grimoire score.

Maybe throw an exclusive emblem to the postmaster for the poor bastards (me) and a few thousand others (out of a few million) that spent countless hours trying to conquer my OCD Also, quite frankly towards the end of year 1 the Grimoire score was a better indicator of skill then the overall level. Rule of thumb for me was over 3000, this player has logged a lot of hours and is a most likely an above average player, under 3000, then not that experienced but good player (most likely), under 2000, relatively new to destiny and inexperienced. Bottom line, its a valuable piece of information for everyone, not just us crazies that maxed the god forsaken thing. See below for tests proving me right....statistics don't lie, so don't argue with me. Yup. Being that I have 3600+ grimoire, I wanna display that on my emblem
-
I couldn't care less...
-
They should just display light level since actual level means nothing, and grimoire should be put back where it was
-
I totally agree and let me tell you something when I'm in a trials match I'm more interested in seeing what the other team has for a grimoire... Not saying that if you a have a low grimoire your not good just saying that generally people with higher grimoire are better at the game. I'm very upset at the way they changed it like I could care less what your light level is eventually everyone's will be the same!!

i like the bottom one!

Grimoire means nothing especially in pvp I laugh when pple look for group in trials and go must have over 3000 grimoire that just means their kd sucks and havent been flawless It means u play lots of pve chase cards and got all the ghosts congrats u spent time doing useless tasks doesnt say anything about skill level
-
Well no that it's been removed I can comment that --- No, this harms nothing

Edited by Sinnovart: 9/14/2015 3:18:45 AMJust move the cursor over the players' names, and you'll see the grimoire. Most players usually inspect other players anyway. Don't see what the big deal is.

Im very very..... Very dedicated and i couldn't give a single -blam!- about grimoire, thats why i never wasted my time looking for ghost shells.
-
I think i just lost some brain cells
-
What the fk did I just read? Hover over persons name you see grimoire. Its not hidden behind some mystical labyrinth or something.. it's basically in the exact same spot.... stfu

First of all, we live in the entitled era. Those who don't have, want and those that don't want are forced. What I mean is, those with high Grimoire score make the entitled feel inadequate so removing the grimoire score from a name plate makes them feel equal. We all will be level 40 with over 280 light, but knly people who have played since day one are gonna have a HIGH grimoire score.

True. Bump. But I doubt bungie will listen; which is garbage AF
people can easily inspect to view this redundant info.
People can just as easily inspect to view your precious grimoire.

Removing grimoire has helped me, i recently moved from max grimoire on ps3 with 3 34's, to the xbox one with only 1 34. But because my grim is low on xbox ( only logged 60 hours) iv gotten kicked from games.

I agree. I would prefer to see the grimoire where it used to be. It conveyed a lot more than just a simple grimoire score. It was a type of expanded destiny achievement system and at a certain point it takes real dedication and effort to increase the score. Now that so many people are able to casually lvl up, the grimoire score is becoming an even better way to sum up certain aspects of a player that level and light simply don't do BUUUUUMP!

Leave grimoire alone , leave Britney alone , why why why ?????

The third one looks nice.

they are taking away anything you work hard for some reason. They are haters maybe. They dont want to favor grinders, They dont want a player base maybe? Who know but they make a lot of my friends to to invest any time in ttk. Really what was the real reason that we cant bring our old stuff up? we have to level other stuff up, really!!! It is a shame what they have done with my favorite game.
