I was having a conversation on here with someone who doesn't want to leave their legendaries behind in TTK, and I had a bit of an idea. What if Bungie added a new item obtainable through gunsmith quests, raid drops, crucible ect. This item would be a blank gun. There would be one for each weapon type. ( Auto rifle, shot gun, launcher ect.) Once you get one of these blank guns, you would essentially sacrifice a legendary of the corresponding type. Sacrificing would then copy the perk set to the blank gun, while giving it TTK damage output. This new gun could have a name reminiscent of the old one, while having a new look (maybe randomized from the current models of that type?). That way people can still have the spirit of the guns they love, and bungie still gets everyone having new weapons in their loadout for year 2.
