One of my good friends Joystik proposed a new way to Nerf black hammer but keep the white nail perk how it is. "Alternative Black Hammer changes: As the title states I'm going to list some alternative changes to the BH instead of what Bungie proposes, which is: -increase ammo inventory to 18 -change "White Nail" perk to pull ammo from reserve Now I do agree that Black Hammer is a little OP but I think this change will effectively ruin the BH. This change essentially just reloads for you, and that doesn't make it very unique, or useful. Many people have suggested turning the BH into an exotic and not changing anything else about it. I'm going to propose ways to keep it legendary but still balance it, and explain why I think so. 1. Reduce base stability to 25 (was 35), remove "Perfect Balance" perk from middle tree*. Increase weapon sway when ADS slightly One of the main reason players were able to infinitely snipe bosses and plow through them, is because the stability, coupled with perfect balance made it so easy to stay on target. Less stability and more weapon sway would require more skill for repeated precision hits. 2. Reduce maximum ammo inventory to 9 rounds (including those in magazine) Reducing the reserve ammo would put more emphasis on getting those precision hits, leaving less room for error, in turn requiring more skill. Also, getting those precision hits would be more difficult because of stability reduction. Overall, these are some changes I was thinking that could better balance the BH. If you think that it sounds balanced with these changes or if more should be added, or even less, tell me in the comments.
