I'm not sure about the "gjallahorn", but the "Gjallarhorn" is definitely not overrated.

I think I can speak to this a little bit. I just got my first on Tuesday after 560 hours. The gun does pack a punch but I feel like it's something I don't have to actually use. I honestly think I like having available exotic primary or specialist more than a heavy. I guess for burning enemies like Crota or Skolas yeah I can see it how it helps. But truthfully I think that's a design flaw of the game. There shouldn't be just one rocket launcher that makes or breaks having to do some levels. At least that's how the community sees it from what I've observed. That's the disappointing part of it all.
