I've fallen for the hype three times now...
BUT I'M DOING IT AGAIN! Taken King hype! Weapon balance, looks like there will actually be a better story, awesome raid and new subclasses, rift gamemode! It's a lot of money for me, but it's also gonna be a hell of a lot of fun. I'm not expecting this to be like Destiny 2 or something, but the more I see/hear about the taken king the more my cautious optimism grows. Please Bungie. Don't less this be more Activision marketing hype, we know they're capable of that. I really do want to love this game. I want the taken king to be an EXPANSION.
But seriously, I'm not buying if I don't get vault space. I'm a collector, and if you won't let me collect I'm not playing. If it wasn't for vault restrictions I'd have every exotic, VoG, CE, ToO, IB, and PoE weapon (other than corrective measure of all things actually), but those last two collections are incomplete due to the storage restrictions. If I don't get at least like 100 weapon slots I seriously am not playing anymore, not worth the stress of deleting the collections I've grinded so, so long for RNG to bless me with. I mean this is a loot based game, let us collect our loot. Imagine if you could only hold 50 Pokémon in your PC, a lot of people wouldn't have a problem but that useless restriction would ruin a lot of other player's enjoyment.
PS: Love Nolan North, and that ascension is going away. If you don't understand why that's necessary I don't want to attempt an intelligent conversation about game design with you. Not worth the effort.

Dont forget the other good things! Tons of new story missions on previously playable maps or places, reused gun models, a new exotic that looks EXACTLY the same as the strangers rifle, and more!

2 RepliesDo you think they could be holding off that idea due to a good chunk of the community using Old gens? I mean Older gens can't do quite as much as new gen. For example the time it takes to load the consumable screen etc. I just think this might be a possibility or along the lines of why... Let me know what you all think

1 ReplyNo confirmed added Vault Space yet, but Shaders and Emblems no longer take up spaces in there and have beem moved somehwere esle, so there's more room in a technical sense.

I think they said they are running into limitations(lmao) and they are messing around with kiosks. Oh, and they're "really excited about that". Let me translate: You won't get any vault space. Other than that? Man, everything looks absolutely perfect.

2 RepliesThank you for articulating so well how I feel about vault space. When I started this game, I "was getting every raid weapon and every exotic for every character." I quickly realized that was impossible due to space limitations, but I have spent too much time on this game to be told that I need to choose between cool new stuff and cool old stuff. Thank you also for illustrating in your later post how the old gear remains just as useful for old content. I'd like to see Destiny expand the inventory such that no one is ever forced to dismantle anything for space reasons. As I understand it, there's no inventory love coming till Destiny 2, since that will be built for generation 8, rather than 7.It's not confirmed or anything for Destiny 2, just a technical possibility, according to my programmer friends. Anyway, thank you, GuyFamily999, it's been surprisingly hard to find people who agree with me on vault space. All I hear is "that's how MMO's work" - this and "stop whining and dismantle that crap" - that. Keep the faith.

Bungie caught on real fast about the things we didn't like and rather then fix them on the spot with patches they decided to roll this thing out. I'm excited, it looks like a whole new game.
