Lack of players
I noticed this weekend it was way harder to put together teams to do events. Sure some people were off playing IB, but my friend list was way down - offline or playing other games. Anyone else seeing this?

9 Repliesits because the game is stale, to the point of molding. theyd have a ton of players come back if in addtion the their excuse for dlc, they dropped weekly and monthly content free . if each week a new exotic weapon an armor, thats a grand total of 52 a year, or domething similiar dropped, people would hunt and grind for it. if each month a new strike, mission, pvp map or mode, or i dare say a mini raid came out; thered be tons of stuff to do. the boring repetitive repeat would be gone. now i know what youre saying, " cold, no one releases that much content that fast and for free"!! and i say that a lot was cut from original. any company that cant release one thing a month for an online game when their game is farcically small and repetitive already is going to lose players in droves. game is repetitive and boring- naturally people quit

The closer they get to 0 players the more likely Destiny will be given to competent developers or Bungie will receive the corporate equivalent of an enema, flushing out dangerous matter like DeeJ, Luke Smith and Harold Ryan. Tried playing Destiny yesterday. It just a grind to get new weapons, so you can grind to get them up, then you can grind the exact same content... but with higher numbers. Whats the point of getting new weapons if there's nothing new to do with them?

2 RepliesAdded over 30 New ppl at launch. 1 still plays, I stopped playing in June. Got sick of the no matchmaking and crap rewards over and over. If they add matchmaking for PoE 32 and 33 then maybe I would come back. The longer Bungie waits then it's less likely I will be back.

4 RepliesDespite what they claim a lot of people quit Destiny because the lack of content and scam tactics they keep pushing on people. If Destiny doesn't pick up with the taken king then don't expect a lot of people coming back. They caused a lot of damage in the past year and I don't think anything Bungie could do short of giving stuff away for free is going to help lure people back in. Almost anyone I bring Destiny up too always makes a comment about how hard the game blows or just cringes with Disapproval. That's not good. Bungie has a lot of work to do it they want this game to be what they originally expected it to be. Starting with restoring faith in the people's on Destiny. This games general perception at the moment is of a lack luster cash grab with to much grind and very little real content or reward. A toxic community and devs who seemingly feel that the fans are no more then mindless dumb shits who will toss money at any bit of hype fed to them. Destiny is pretty much in ruins and no amost of over priced DLC will fix it. Maybe in Destiny 2 they can finally deliver on the promises they gave us. Until then bye bye Bungie!

I've noticed this trend soon after the dark below dropped. Lack of content, storyline, the repetive grind, RNG system, poor matchmaking, stability problems, and Bungie's "philosophies" are killing this game and sending players to much better games.

For me it was this way since tdb... i quit back then. My remaining clan members convinced me to come back for HoW... and after 3 or 4 weeks i quit again. Nothing changed. Now just 2 of my clanmates play destiny sometimes and we dont plan to come back for ttk. Maybe for destiny 2, if something changes... dedicated servers and stuff like that.

About 10 of my clan members have quit playing Destiny already. We can hardly get enough guys together to run a 4 man raid anymore. We have last I checked 27 members and some quit after the Dark Moon dlc and with the HOW another 10 quit playing. The remainder of us that still play are seriously considering not getting TTK. I am tired of not getting the lucky gun drops and since they are going to nerf the ones I was lucky enough to get, why stay with it?

It's lack of content, summer time, vacation time and because destiny is a total Grind with little in the way of repeatability (I've run four 34 characters through the entire game). My Xbox One friends list went from about 80 playing Destiny all the time to maybe 10 on Tuesday and zero by thursday. We run the Nightfall, do a Queens bounty for a key, then do POE 32 and POE 34 - then switch to next character and repeat. A few hard core people will want to do Skolas but the reward for completing it (done 5 or 6 times so far) are minimal. I have all the Queens new Exotic weapons via Cipher Bounties (I am deleting those now) and have all the other ones too. Crucible / Iron Banner / ToO are a joke because of the lack of Dedicated servers (i.e. host lag, lag switching, IP exploits, Ping spammers etc.). So half the game is a waste of time for me and no Luke - I will not be throwing money at the screen until you add dedicated servers. If I'm playing PvP, it's on TitanFall with dedicated servers and if I lose it's usually because they were better players. Not because Bungie picked a crappy console host and when their mom, brother and sister are all surfing the internet they become god hosts due to no bandwidth. And the upcoming Weapons Nerf (for PvE) and the 2.0 "replace all your weapons" crap doesn't make me want to spend $40 for TTK either.

1 ReplyI had over 100 on my roster within days of launch, over 10 page list in-game, with usually 2 pages online and playing Destiny. Now usually 1/2 dozen at MOST playing Destiny... ...no hate though, Destiny is boring.

5 RepliesI noticed my friends list dropped severely when the 1st mass nerf was announced. After that scatterbrains latest announcement there is no one. Destiny launched near perfect and they have consistently diluted the action.

I was actually not able to make matches in IB this weekend due to not enough players being available. It happened twice yesterday.

19 RepliesEvery weekend, people run trials. That's why. Go to trials of Osiris on DestinyLFG.net and hit play. You can't even see the text it moves so fast. Also, people that play Destiny regularly usually have everything else done by the weekend. It is ok guys. Millions still play daily, regardless of what the kinderguardians say.
