So I am one of those people that will go bankrupt a few times reforging weapons just to get the perfect upgrades. Now this can be very frustrating, time and resource consuming, so I have a few suggestions to lessen the negatives. 1. Introduce a 'lock-in' feature, sort of like in slot machines where you can hold a slot that you like and re-roll the rest. Then for each upgrade that gets locked-in, the player could possibly pay an additional 10-20 motes of light and more glimmer on each re-roll, making you spend more money to get a better chance at getting desired upgrades 2. Remove the 'hold A/X' on unlevelled/unascended weapons, this adds to the time it takes to get upgrades. The feature could remain on weapons that have been levelled or ascended just in case you clicked accidentally on a weapon you don't want reforged. 3. Show upgrades on reforge menu so that we don't have to press start each time to check what we have, maybe even add a new section to the Gunsmith's menu dedicated to reforging.
