Just read the Destiny Account Restrictions and Banning Policies
Quote
"Q: I purchased a used console and it shows that I'm banned. What does that mean?
If you purchase a used console that has previously been banned, you will not be able to connect to Destiny."

If someone was banned from playing the game so they block the Console from playing the same. would they not just go and trade in there console and get a new one and set up a new account and boom they back in the game, wile a New users buys the 2nd hand console then find he cannot play destiny,
Just a heads up for people thinking about buying a 2nd hand Console.
Guess it will be very low chance you would get a 2nd hand console that would be band I guess.
Edit: Added "May not be able to play Destiny" in to the title for awareness

That's old news for a lot of games; people ran into that with used/modded systems, I can think of a few accounts that I knew about back in high school with the 360. Also, it says you won't be able to play, nothing about getting a diff system and being unable.

If u buy a console that's banned return it to where u bought it and tell them it's banned from games u play. If u bought it from games top or stores like it u will be fine. If u use Craigslist or something and buy a banned console u might be screwed

This has always been a thing with Xboxes. If you got a hardware ban you just sold it, bought a new one and let some chump pick up your tab. I would imagine most serial cheats aren't bothered about making new profiles either; they just move on to the next hacked CoD lobby.
Guess it will be very low chance you would get a 2nd hand console that would be band I guess.
Not to mention you can always return it and exchange it for another one if you catch it quickly. I agree though, there should be a process for this.

Damn never even thought of this. I bought a 2nd hand xbox 360 once but I knew it was bricked when I got it. Only paid like £40 for it. Just wanted to play skyrim

Lol thats kind of scary

Buying a 2nd hand console isn't a good idea to begin with honestly. There's no warranty, no guarantee any of it works properly... and these kinda things. Sure it'll cost you less at first, but who knows when it'll break and you're stuck with a useless brick. On a new console you'll have at least 2-3 years before that happens.

That's pretty scary.
