The Dreadnaught: A taste of what awaits

Aloha guardians, sooooooo....I woke up this morning, got out my phone while still in bed to see what was up on the Destiny app, edited the sentences in my post from last night, replied a comment and bam!! I finag saw the new weekly update. I always get excited when I see these updates, you never know what's in store. Today, we have got a behind the scenes look into the Taken King's mother base/ship and yes we weren't invited but you know what ? I've got 'knee pads' on my Party crasher and you can bet your balls I'm gonna use it...lol... The Dreadnaught looks amazing and the share size of it just gives you an idea of all the fun stuff and challenges that's in store us guardians. It was great seeing the transformation from concept art to designed level; the art and design team really did an outstanding job with the design and execution. The lighting, perfectly sets the mood, the visual effects for the mist look sweet awesome as well and I know without a doubt that the sound that'll accompany the glorious visuals will be mind blowing or in this case, ear blowing. Then there was Dark Blade; a general in the Taken King's army...as a strike boss, He's going to be a lot of fun to...enlighten (this was a light joke -_-) because, unlike a lot of the other bosses, It is using a great axe so, it's going to swinging that bad boy right in our faces. There's room for more agility and ferocity so I'm expecting this boss fight to be fast paced and chaotic. The Dark Blade regardless of it's role apparently wants to stop us from looting the Dreadnaught; in the words of the great Barney Stinson, challenge accepted! It's pretty obvious that the Dreadnaught has a lot of nooks and crannies to explore and loot guarded by secret bosses just waiting to be plundered and I certainly will be ready to ...enlighten (light joke) every one of those bosses and open those chests. New mechanics have been added to public events, I got excited when I saw "large" and "small". Larger public events with better reward means more guardians participate; the more guardians that participate, the larger and thus more fun it is to play. Some of the public events will be trickier (this is always a good thing) and the fact that we are being told that we'll need help from other Guardians certifies the fact that it will be a challenge. I can't even begin to imagine what they have in store for us but I honestly can't wait to get stuck in. Then there's the frosting on the cake (the news update was the cake) and Ben Wommack is the frosting; Oh so very sweet frosting! Thank you for suggesting the Twitch stream!! It's a great idea and I am glad it was taken on board. It's going to be unmissable and no force on Earth will make me miss it. Before I conclude, I'd like to saw Great job to the winners of the Art contest, the entries in the update, drawings, paintings and the videos were amazing and certainly deserving of your place there. I don't check the creation page enough but I'll make sure I do so I can see all the great posts from my fellow guardians. As always, it was another great update. I really liked the content, how it started and how it ended...well, except for Ban hammer news; it could have been separate. If you got this far, your light is strong and it must stay strong for the Taken King come'th. Enjoy the rest of the day or night depending on where you are. Side note: when I saw Mike Poe, I read it as 'Mike Prison of Elders', then I was like wait, that can't be right. I'm clearly in these forums waaay too often. Anyway, Ciao.x
