What are your thoughts on playing with someone based on their grimoire? My grimoire's not too high but not too low (3395).
My preference is 3000 and above to play with them, but I've encountered several good players well below.

It's not too accurate a measurement but it does help a small amount. I'm 3620, people think God joined their team when I'm in the game but fact is my friend is 3580 and a mile better than me. We're both very good, it's just I wouldn't doubt he's one of the best.
-
I say it just shows experience and dedication.

I've got about 4085 (not certain). I need more.
-
4655. I generally play with people close to my score.
-
Anyone who really went try hard to go above 3100 is kind of sad.
-
It shows experience. It does..

Pve is good connection. Pvp is almost none

it may help me realize why they're doing terribly in a raid and be more quick to offer direction or assistance, but in most cases i don't really pay attention because it's not really indicative of skill, just patience to grind out ogres and hydras and salvage matches. for example, i picked up a guy who had three then-maxed characters on his PSN account but it was his first character on XBL, he didn't die once as a 25 or 26 through a normal VoG while all the other 29-32 people on the team were dying from silly mistakes, and i also had a lot of fun with some gentlemen from Canada running their very first raid a few months ago. one had a grim score under 2,000 and the other was just over that much. all they played was Crucible and they were up-front about their experience level, very happy to learn. we took Atheon down with little issue, and that's more than can be said for my first raid attempt :(

It has no bearing on anything..dipsh*t.

Edited by Darches: 8/1/2015 8:50:34 AMGenerally speaking, people with less than 3000 are not on my level, and that's a problem. I don't want to tickle Skolas with 312 scout rifles. I regret not checking my teammates equipment. I thought they were ready, being level 34. But max level doesn't mean much any more. The one guy had nothing but radiant dance machines and PoE armor from cores :/ For ToO, K/D matters quite a bit more. I'm a believer that K/D don't mean shit but... if you're lower than 1... well... I'm reluctant to play with you. Also, Thorn or GTFO.

In my experience grimoire reflects on pve performance. It doesn't really matter in pvp.
-
I only generally rate people on grimoire when doing trials and ill play with anyone no matter their grimoire score. I'm on Xbox one and have max (3620)

ShesMyNerd is all the proof I need that grimoire doesn't Matador.

Edited by mjeccs: 8/1/2015 9:43:23 AMI need rumble wins and a couple others. The rumble wins are killing me though! I'm not the best PVP player and am struggling to find those wins today. I would happily complete any other grimoire to avoid rumble :/
-
I have about 2700 and that correlates to how bad I am
-
3665 here and I have no life/no skill/no will to pay the bills
-
Everyone with high grimoire is experienced but sometimes those with low grimoire will also be experienced and just happen to be lazy.
-
In generally speaking you can take that damn score and shove it up your ass I don't really give a -blam!- about how many ghosts are golden chests you have found or how many -blam!-ing weapons you have used I like the load out that I use and I do just And I do just fine
-
Definitely doesn't matter in pvp. I'm usually 1st or second on my team. While people with 3300+ are getting shit on at the bottom causing me to lose and iron banner match.
-
If it wasn't for ghost hunting it would be an ok guide, but there is around a 400 difference if you have never hunted them
-
I will play with anyone. But I use Grimoire to estimate the level of experience of my enemies.
-
Does anyone still need 250 VIP kills doing?
-
Well the title is misleading in the sense that almost always Grimoire = Experience but Grimoire does not = Skill
