If you are receiving the error message "Your permissions to access online multiplayer may have changed or your profile may have been signed in elsewhere." you may be encountering different issues. This error can be triggered a number of ways:
You don't have an Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus account, or the subscription has expired
You have signed into another console
You are experiencing Xbox Live or PlayStation Network connection issues
If you have switched your PS4 connection from wired to wireless (or vice versa), confirm your connection settings on your console.
For example: if you had previously used wireless to connect the system and you plug in a cable directly, it will continue to use that until you re-run the network setup
None of this is true in my case! All other games work. What is wrong?

Same here in my PS4, I play another games online on my ps4 and only Destiny show this error, and for me this error happens after I chose my char..

Restoring licenses worked for me! Settings > Playstation Network/Account Restore > Restore Licenses

I am experiencing the same issue. I have messed around with it a bit and I believe it has something to do with your active profile being logged out while destiny is still running. I have been able to clear the issue twice with a restart of the PS4. Must be a coding issue :/

Mine is the same on PS4. I tested my connection and it said everything is good, but still getting that message.

Same here. When I first logged in I got the message that the destiny servers were down. This has happened to me before. Usually I just close out of destiny and fire it right back up. This time I get the "your permissions have changed" notification. I have tried the listed solutions and none are the case. Kind of a bummer since IB is going on right now.

Same, it is giving me that message on my hunter, but not on my other 2 characters. I think it has to do with Iron Banner being somehow screwed up cus I only played 2 matches on my hunter.
