So this HoW DLC brings a very rich story in the grimoire that most people will never read, and that's a shame. Kudos to the writers, but it needs exposure. So I have an idea. It'll cost some money, but it would be amazing.
So let's say Joe Guardian plays the game and unlocks a bunch of grimoire. Perhaps all the cards relates to Thorn, for instance. These cards are spread out through the grimoire. So Joe, who doesn't want to bother reading the cards, heads to the tower and goes up to see the Speaker. From there, he can select a Grimoire button, which will expand (faction rep style) a menu to select a story which Joe has unlocked through collecting.
Joe selects "Thorn" and a mini cutscenes happens (which of course is skip able in case Joe has to leave.) The Speaker and Joe are seated around a fire or near a railing overlooking the Traveler or whatever. This scene can have multiple locations. The Speaker, who wears a mask so facial animations are non-existent, will tell the tale of Thorn, summarizing his knowledge of Thorn based on the grimoire and maybe a little extra tidbit. Storytime with the Speaker.
This would make the grimoire story easily accessible, but not a direct verbatim copy of the cards. It will give the Speaker a function that actually relates to his title, and it will bring the rich lore into the game in a powerful way. I mean, how many people realize Xur released Skolas?
Bill Nighy would need to record some lines, a lot of lines actually. But this would be incredible. The story needs to have mass exposure. It is deserving.

Very similar to my idea, but a little more in depth.
