Idea for a new cryptarch.
What if once a month, a different cryptarch comes into the tower for 3 days and lets us turn in blue/purple engrams for a increased 30%-50% chance of getting a legendary weapon/gear from the past. Would also apply to legendaries for an increased chance of getting an exotic.
Maybe an increased boost in cryptarch ranks by turning engrams into this special cryptarch?
What are your thoughts?
Edit: Another idea, if you rank up using this special cryptarch, you might have something like a chance to get 50 strange coins or motes. It would be a great initiative for people to play. Or an exotic.

For most people who have been playing since launch, Xur is worthless... This would make him worth looking forward to each week and give people something worth spending their coins on.
