Destiny's been out for a while. Duh. And to me at least, as the months go on, the game seems more apparently MMO-Like than it did at first. Maybe It's me and I'm just weird. I dunno. But, for as MMO-Like as Destiny is... Why is there no trading? Some people have said time and/or budget cuts. Others say it would just break the game. I'm not sure if I agree with the "breaking the game" bit, and I'd have also thought that they could've implemented trading with one of the first two expansions.
Perhaps The Taken King? I dunno. With RNG loot and no post-event loot dice-rolling mechanic (Think WoW), You'd think there would be some way to transfer items from one account to another.
Again, maybe I'm dumb for thinking it should be there, but I just really do think it should be there.

While I think destiny shouldn't have trading. The very reason it shouldn't almost makes me wish it did. I would happily sell the -blam!- out of Ghorn and other exotics. I would make a killing selling raid exotics for those that are too afraid to raid or claim to not have the time.

Supposedly Blizzard sent Bungie a list of what not to do when making an MMO. Trading was high on that list.
