Xbox 360, Xbox live connection issues
Hello, I'm Solmin Zerimon, most who know me, know me as Sol. I have been trying to enjoy Destiny since a friend of mine wanted me to get it to play it with him. I bought the digital copy (not my brightest idea, considering the issues I'm having) and also got the DLC so could experience it to the fullest. My problem is, I can't play for more than 10 minutes before being disconnected from Xbox live by the game. I've done all the troubleshooting, and I don't have any kind of issue that is even remotely close to this one with any other game that I play. Bungie, if they actually read these, I can understand that with a high volume of players it may be tough for a company as limited as yours to maintain servers, but this game has been out for almost a year. Every other game that may have started with issues like these, has them fixed within a few months, mainly through updates and/or patches. Your next DLC, I think it's called Taken King or something like that, looks phenominal. I especially love the idea of warlocks getting lightning powers, but if you can't allow us (your players who have been supporting you) to play long enough to be able to actually enjoy it, then no one will want to get your products. Which will do no one any good what so ever. Since you are having so many issues maintaining your Destiny servers, to the point that we are either booted to the title screen, or booted from xbox live/PSN, you should get in touch with some of the more successful companies. Preferable one like Blizzard or even Bioware. Companies that have good experience with maintaining massive multiplayer servers. I want to see you succeed. You have a great game here with Destiny, don't let it fizzle out and fail us all and yourselves. Please.

Bungie, I really hope that you guys are seeing this. I don't know what you guys have been doing, if anything, but I must say. I have seen a drastic improvement in my connection issues. It still happens far too often, but it has stopped occuring as much. I have been able to do strike missions without being disconnected, most of the time. Story missions as well. I still get DCed when playing them, but not as much as i used to. Even patrol missions have been doing better. I still get DCed from patrols too often, and it is more than any other mission type combined, but there are signs of improvement. Please keep up the good work.

1 ReplyWhat's odd is a few months so I would have agreed with you. Then I moved and found out that the reason I kept dcing from servers is because of my own internet. Now the only dc I get is from a reset to the router. Now lag... I get no lag on some other games but last night had me in laughing fits about how bad the lag was.
