Thoughts on balancing 2.0

Disclaimer: This is a post of my oppinion, it is not a ‘flame‘ post. It is intended to allow others to post their views of the balancing 2.0 patch and games current/future state. Ok so I think most will agree there are some much needed nerfs and some long awaited buffs coming in balancing 2.0. I personally like the way bungie are trying to make all weapon types viable and separating pvp from pve more. But there are some questionable changes that were not necessary. To name a few; blackhammer, icebreaker, fusion rifles... Etc. But the biggest concern I have is that in every balancing patch exotics are becomming more like legendaries with a gimmick. No real performance difference. Even harder to earn legendaries from raids are becomming more like generic legendaries. This in turn i feel will make the game less enjoyable . The game itself is a hybrid fps/rpg with a heavy focus on loot (not an mmo!). This means a big part of the games enjoyment factor is coming from obtaining that new exotic you´ve farmed so long for. But it seems this feeling wont be there if these exotics are just gimmicky legendaries . For me an exotic should have a noticeable difference in performance over legendaries, both pvp and pve. You are afterall limited to wearing just 1 exotic weapon and 1 exotic armor. Isn't this part of the whole "Become Legend" goal for destiny? Because right now it seems like becomming a legend will consist of only obtaining a certain emblem... I think Xur should never have sold exotic weapons or armor, this has a reduced feelgood factor of getting good drops if you can just buy them cheeply. That said I do buy from him, but overall he shouldn't have existed.
