Is Destiny becoming nothing but a Sniper-fest?
Most people I see crying for nerfs usually are running a sniper setup. The forums cried constantly, back then and now, to nerf shotguns and fusion rifles. Now I see nothing but snipers. People hanging at the back and camping doorways, ending entire ToO matches in one shot, etc. But I see no one complain about it, after all the weapon balancing, nothing was said about snipers. Yet, when one person gets one kill with a shotgun, the entire community blows up and cries for another nerf. Are we seriously trying to make this a snipers only game?
edit: point is, there are a very good number of people who would want snipers to be the only gun in the game because everything else will have been nerfed into oblivion. If I wanted to play CoD, I would, but right now I want to play Destiny. I'm not mad about recent events or games, I'm worried about where this game may go. You can say I'm bad, whatever, I know I'm not good with a sniper, but I don't want to be forced to play like that. You might not even listen to me and just call me a noob, that kind of response is expected from a community like this. I just don't want it to where snipers run unopposed because who knows, Bungie may listen to the crybabies and make shotguns 2 shots to kill, nerf fusion rifles again, reduce damage of sidearms, and probably increase ammo count on snipers. Don't blame me if that happens, you would have brought it yourself.

I can't believe it, even in July I saw this coming. Destiny has become a sniper-fest, with multiple people bitching about them being op. I warned you, I saw this coming, but none of you believed me.

Sniping someone from the other end of the map (waiting for a head to pop in to your sight) when your in no danger what so ever and then calling it skill is total -blam!-ing bullshit.

How about this I'll remove my final round sniper if you use a shotgun without rangefinder/shotpackage. Sounds fair right? All three perks are crutch perks anyways.

If you're tired of getting killed by snipers then hug the walls and corners and take their shot from them. If you're tired of getting killed via shotguns then take wide turns and keep distance. It's pretty simple.

The act of running up to a group without being totally shut down isn't easy when playing against decent, capable players. Both kill in the same time frame. Both come with their own set of risks. Both have ridiculously powerful reforge options.

It really does take skill to use a sniper effectively in pvp as others can be of equal or greater skill with a sniper some use a strafe to avoid others snipers which adds to the required skill you need to know how to kill in the timeframe of your opponent aiming down sights only people who find snipers as a good weapon will ever use them well

I mean when we are dealing with snipers that can fire off two shots in under a second, that seems kinda ridiculous I thought snipers were supposed to be precise. Think about it, two rounds for a kill. Conoared to wasting two shots to get to the final round shot so three bullets to kill as opposed to two? That seems right to you guys?

6 RepliesIn reality people complain about a lot of things, but people should stop asking for nerfs because every time that the heavens(aka bungie) hear their prayers they nerf not just a weapon or two, but the whole class of that weapon like with the ARs and FRs, they asked for a ammo nerf, and we now have a hand cannon reign(and they bitch a lot for that), they asked for this and now some of them are even asking for a class nerf (on the striker and voidwalker) just because they cant deal with their supers, that people is just being lazy and selfish, do you really think that if you keep crying and crying something is gona change?, the destiny world is an unequal one and deal with it nerfers or are you going to be happy when the best way to kill someone is with the bare hands alone?
