Why isn't Matchmaking included?
I have just reached Level33 on 2 of my Characters and I get upset when I can't find people to do a Nightfall or a Prison of elders run 32, 34, or 35 run. I have tried the help forums and with luck last night found some really awesome people to game with. I just wish it was always that simple.
Is it really that much to ask for us players who loath the pvp aka Thorn MP matches we all suffer through. I have 3 Unfinished exotic bounties I don't bother to complete simply because I don't enjoy the shotguns that act like sniper rifles and the thorn. I have won a few matches with my Last word. I wish auto Rifles still mattered I ended up dismantling almost every one I get. I wish we had more elemental primary weapons.
I also had every exotic on my PS3 and when I moved to the xbox one lost my shaders and weapons. It just sucks that a game like GTA V can do the cross platform but Bungie couldn't.

2 RepliesWhere is the "none of the above" option? 1. If you are playing Destiny on multiple platforms you need to get a life. 2. Matchmaking for PoE and Nightfall would be a bad idea. For PoE 32 or 34 it's probably fine, but for 35 only really good players can beat this (especially since they made it a LOT harder after the last patch). Having a single player on the team who can't hold his own and stay alive would make it impossible to beat Skolas. This would be a bad experience for all players. Also, good players would still go in as a team so only the crappy players would be using matchmaking - which would really make for a bad experience for them. You want to build a fireteam for the endgame activities because you need to have good players with you (at least all but one of them). For Nightfall, players like to solo this, so adding matchmaking would ruin that. Nightfalls are easy to solo anyway so just do it solo. 3. Auto Rifles are for noobs. Learn how to aim.

1 ReplyI get the impression that all the squeakers that are crying for matchmaking on the endgame activities are the same players that are so bad that they cannot find a team on lfg sites. Do you only want matchmaking in hopes that someone else will be able to carry you through the activity? Good luck with that.

Raids and other uber-difficult content are so [i]special[/i] that only the most [i]elite [/i]guardians should be tempted to try it (so no to random Johnnies wandering in, though of course they can do that anyway with the opening section on Venus for the VoG) 2. Bungie couldn't manage to build an intuitive, well playing gametype so they force us to play with friends (ie. the same people who can make Mario Party fun) so its mind-numbing tedium and awful design is papered over with our good intentions. Either way its bullshit. Matchmaking should be made a universal feature of all of Bungie's PVE content.
