Players want answers, stop cheesing off topic!

Don't log in 7/7/15 and if you can, quit the game, man up and fight back! Guardian79 formed a growing list of questions that we want answers to. Stop fanning the flames in the community, man up (or woman up!), stop hiding, and stop cheating us out of a game we already paid you for. It was supposed to be a complete game not just the intro to one. I thought we were finished with the beta?
POST WHAT YOU WANT DEEJ TO ANSWER EDIT - New questions posted 10 + 11 please see below - 03/07/15 EDIT - Please also let me know what you guys think of the questions so far, if you feel there is anything needed to be added or reworded and keep talking to me Please post questions you would like to ask DeeJ and Bungie below and let's see if they have the stuff to communicate with us properly. You guys can make this happen. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - QUESTIONS SO FAR/u] - UPDATED - 03/07/15 1. Ascending gear in next expansion Will we be able to ascend our current gear in the next expansion or will our gear become obsolete? Will there still be an ascend option? 2. optional MM + LFG There is an overwhelming request for optional matchmaking and LFG options, not everyone can or wants to use the forums or do not have the time. As this request would be for an 'optional' tab players cannot see why there is a problem - other games have this why can't we? 3. Weapon Re-balancing What are you guys going to do about the dire need for weapon rebalancing? Auto rifles are verging on useless, certain weapons are way overpowered and Crucible is suffering a serious imbalance and you guys have yet to comment or address these issues? 4. communication The community is concerned about your lack of communication (hence the reason for this post) People do not feel you are living up to your community manager status with a lot of players feeling like you are not communicating adequately or listening to us how do you respond? 5. Pricing Can you justify why you are charging $20 for a few emotes and shaders? Especially when other games include many of these for free? ESO for example has around 50 with a task bar you can customise with easy access to ten of your favourites. Also players feel the pricing issues with the DLC hasn't been rectified, the UK players are suffering more as $40 and £40 aren't the same £40 = $63 in the UK that's over the price of a new game! There is a feeling you're not taking this seriously yet we've invested a lot of money so far, what do you have to say to that? 6. Suggestions 'ignored' DeeJ we've given thousands of suggestions and asked for things like transmogrification , character recustomisation and more vault space since day one. You slightly increased the vault space once but otherwise all the suggestions seem to just be ignored. You keep saying 'keep talking to us about destiny' 'your opinion matters' but we cannot see where the evidence of this is. Communication is always vague but we need hard answers, can you respond to this? 7. server issues since release Players still feel the game is riddled with issues. Constant lags, disconnections, bugs and glitches some players even exploit to have an unfair balance. It has been a year since the games release and we are still having these issues, What can you say about this? 8. Private Matches Players want private crucible matches, an in game lobby for group finders, and better group interaction in game. We've asked this for months and feel like we've been ignored. What can you say about this? 9. Players perception of Bungie A lot of players have responded to this with. 'What's the point? We'll just get more PR bull' or 'nothing will change anyway' it would be easy to respond to this with 'we're always listening' or 'your feedback is important to us' but quite frankly we need something solid to back that up as at the moment we cannot see this. What's your response? 10. Content and Value - the 'long one' One of the biggest issues - and arguably THE biggest issue is content. Everywhere we turn we're restricted because of lack of optional matchmaking. The content we can do is extremely short lived and designed to just repeat - strikes , POE, patrol etc. The problem also is once you get to a certain level there is no reward or point to do any of it. When you compare to other games it is seriously lacking. To top it off Xbox users get even less, just because they have an Xbox and not a ps4. TTK promises more but aren't we just getting the same format? 11. are raids being made obsolete? People feel that the content in the game is really lacking any longjevity. The content that's out there we repeat continuously to get any satisfaction from the game, a huge part of that is raids. While you mention TTK comes with additional content does that mean the VOG and CROTAS END are now becoming obsolete if the weapons and armour are?
• QUESTIONS ANSWERED SO FAR - UPDATED - 07/05/15
1. Ascending gear in next expansion? It seems likely, it is a good feature to introduce to help increase armor and player diversity. The only way they could improve this is to allow players to ascend or upgrade lower tier gear to as high as Legendary, but a lot of players have difficulty gaining Etheric light. I would hope they make it purchasable through a vendor, maybe for strange coins, motes of light, or vanguard/crucible marks. 2. optional MM + LFG? The reason why I can see is their server usage rates; the more outlets you have for the data to flow the harder it is on the servers. They could mitigate this and many more issues by introducing a exchange or transfer server, and that would essentially help with a lot of issues players experience with their vaults, companion apps, and loading times. This method could also help to introduce trading into the game, but they would need to add more diversity or customization to make the convenience of trading equitable. As another player has stated already however, only the older generations would really prosper from trading being introduced and many of the younger players would simply try to abuse it like they do in so many other games. 3. Weapon Re-balancing? They introduced these issues with the hopes players would halt their use of Auto rifles, and though they were successful for the most part, it is likely they will not correct the issue they made to keep the player weapon basis in a more favorable light. Essentially, they have a automated system to gave what weapons are used the most, and they alter the game flow based on PvP statistics and found everyone and their grandma is using a auto rifle. Why wouldn't they? They can use diverse fire modes, they used to have relatively high impact, damage, reload speed, and range. You would have to be an idiot not to use them, but instead of making other weapons better they simply gave players a reason not to use them. The weapon people used the most was Nerfed so bad its now the weakest in its tier and the tier below it as well; SUROS Regime which happened to be one of my favorites in PvE before they Nerfed it for PvP. They need to Un-Nerf their weapons for PvE at Least, but Likely won't due to the lack of a Transition or Exchange server. 4. communication? To be Honest I thought this would be about the lack of public chat, but you make a valid point about their replies to our posts. To be honest however, it is not in their best interest to do so; many times when someone replies to a post it can represent the entirety of their company rather then the opinion of the representative. One bad word, or hurt feeling and everyone is on bad terms and as a representative you want to always stay neutral, so they will likely see your post but never comment. Also, there is a limited number of people set aside to deal with suggestions, comments, and concerns of the community and so many are posted on an hourly basis it is statistically unlikely that your post will even make it into the spotlight, but it doesn't hurt to try. 5. Pricing? If they were to respond they would likely try to explain their costs; two companies have to profit from this game and deal with the maintenance fees, ordinarily only have the price, now double just due to the fact their are 2 companies actively altering and seeing to the needs of one large community. Also, the amount of money that is required to add new content to the game takes its toll on the budget of this game and its developers. I don't agree it should be that expensive, however they still have to charge as much to keep the lights on and the only way to make up for the price is to add enough content to fill the role. Unfortunately, time usually prevents such outcomes from making their way in so they try to make the DLC seem more profitable to the player and us ally fail at the rates they bring in. Its kinda a gamble on their part and hopefully they stop listening to activisions marketing, cause its only get worse down the road. As for the latter of your question, the reason for intensified pricing for players abroad its due to shipping and handling; they don't have the money to contract other companies or set up shop out of town so the price is a little higher due to the fees to get the game across. 6. Suggestions 'ignored'? See Question 4. 7. server issues since release? See Question 2. 8. Private Matches? See Question 2. 9. Players perception of Bungie? See Question 4. 10. Content and Value - the 'long one'; One of the biggest issues - and arguably THE biggest issue is content. To be honest I am one of the those PvE people screaming in the forums trying to get them out of PvP, but the reason for it is simply put a lack of interest; they are not in it for the art, they are in it for the money and they are following the CoD money making scheme: Sell a crappy game, get the multiplayer popular, resell the same crappy game with a few things different, resell the first game with a bit more content and then introduce the same game later with a slightly different look to it. People buy it all up, cause their stupid and want the enjoyment of winning and because the game is so simple its easy to hack and mod it for them to get the rush of wining so few ever truly wing it. They should halt this mindset of course, but likely won't due to their contracts and the success of their initial sales. They would make more money if they did it right, but few humans think long term or care about the worlds they create or the art they inspire in others. Its an unfortunate thing to see a company lose it's soul, but everyone has to eat and nothing in this world is free. As for the PlayStation exclusive content, right now SONY is doing poorly; they have invested a lot in new contracts to introduce new products revenues but sadly they are trapped in the same corporate trap CoD is in and won't likely get out unscathed. They paid for their players to get more content so consumers would be more likely to purchase their console, that's why you see more PlayStation adds then xbox, cause Microsoft is doing well. SONY likely didn't anticipate for Bioware to back out of Destiny, so the game suffered to a lack of vision or proper feed of input from players; essentially they could correct a few of their game related issues, but many of the big issues are built into the frame at this point. TTK promises more but aren't we just getting the same format? Yes, unfortunately we will....and the next 12 DLC's as well... 11. are raids being made obsolete? Not likely, most of the content is set to simply get to spend time playing and pay them for the time you spend.
I know its not what you wanted to hear, or from who you wanted to hear it from, but its the truth sadly and I honestly wish things were different.
