Weapon Parts Anyone?

Ever since House of Wolves released I for the life of me need weapon parts. I wasted about 2000+ weapon parts across all 3 characters reforging weapons. I have the worst luck when it comes to reforging weapons. I always get the new crappy perks that I don't ever tend to use on my weapons (Battle Runner is the best new perk). If I get lucky enough to get the 2 perks I want the middle tier is bad. So does anyone like myself want Bungie to implement some sort way to easily get weapon parts. Like maybe exchange exotic shards or any other material. For example, 1 shard equals 30 weapon parts. As of right I constantly play Vanguard Dragon to get engrams but it gets boring. I find it funny that all the weapon parts I manage to get since day 1, a 10 month period all gone within a few weeks after HoW launch cause of reforging. I think I may have a problem with reforging. Hopefully this topic can get a ton of likes so Bungie can see this and maybe do something about it. Cause I strongly believe Bungie will probably never issue some sort of easy way to get weapon parts, unless the community ask for it. Also, Hidden Hand is another new good perk but for Snipers, nothing else.

Started playing in November. Still have 499 weapon parts as of today and a mostly full vault of well rounded, diverse weapons of all kinds that I enjoy using (except auto rifles). My secret? I never go for a "perfect" roll. I have a couple perks that I'll have in an acceptable range and it's much easier to come away with a gun that I'm satisfied with. For instance, I got a NL Shadow 701X Scout the other day and with its high rate of fire I wanted to try to get Full Auto and Firefly on it. I stopped when I landed Triple Tap and Firefly with the middle column having HCR, APR, and Oiled Frame. Firefly was the one perk I had to have, Triple Tap would be well used for a high ROF scout, and Oiled Frame took a little range in favor of faster reload. When you're going for a perfect roll, you're pitting yourself against RNG multiple times in a single instance, so the odds are terribly stacked against you. Snipers tend to be the worst due to people wanting a specific scope as well. And if you want a particular burn on top of that, too? Ouch! What I've heard a lot of people do is get a gun within an acceptable range (similar to above) and hold onto it until they get another one. So when another NL Shadow drops for me, I can hold onto my very decent one and not risk giving that up to try to get something different. I've run into some guns that are really fun to use by knowing that I have a backup.in my vault. Another example - I was rerolling a Low Grade Humility for something interesting. I stopped when I rolled Mulligan in the first slot....because it had performance bonus as well. I have a chance for bonus ammo when I miss OR when I get a kill. With how special ammo is given in the Crucible, I'm really happy to have that. If I was going for a "perfect" roll, I would have rolled right over there in search of what I thought I wanted instead. TL;DR - lower your expectations about what a good gun can be, and have a several perk options that are "good enough" until you get a duplicate to retry on while you enjoy your new weapon and not throw weapon parts at the screen. Edit - I am definitely in agreement about a needing a better way to get weapon parts. I'd say trading in planetary materials would be the way to go. Each perk in HoW costs 5 weapon parts and 5 of a random material. The Vanguard or Crucible armory should make the swap, as they sell materials for marks right now as it is. I'd be fine with a 2/1 ratio of materials to parts.
