Is Dredgen Yor corrupted Toland?
I wonder, since DY wasn't always known by that name, Toland has extensive disturbing knowledge of the darkness and hive magic (like was used in thorn) And nobody knows what happened to him.
It's a Hail Mary, but I'm not sure there is evidence to the contrary.

7 RepliesNo. Dredge Yor was a hunter. His attitude gave it away. Plus, Toland was lost AFTER Dredge Yor died to Shin Malphur. He was on Luna with Eris Morn when they went to destroy Crota, but failed. Nobody does know what happened to him, but he made Bad Juju, not thorn.

2 RepliesNo. Aside from them being different classes. The last known location of Toland was near the Deathsinger. Dregen Yor is confirmed dead. There's no guarantee that they didn't exist in the same time frame.

Well we do and dont know what happened to him. He was part of eris' fireteam but we believe he possibly survived :D

24 RepliesEdited by IQ Null: 8/28/2015 11:38:58 AMDredgen Yor was originally Jaren Ward, the owner of TLW, but passed it on to his "son"/apprentice Shin Malphur Ward later finds the Rose, and it taints him, and he realizes it is no longer a Rose but a Thorn, and becomes Dredgen Yor. Toland was a scholar from the city that had an interest in hive arcana. He performed actions that were forbidden by the city consensus and was exiled as a result. He tried at one point to make his own weapon of sorrow, which resulted in Bad Juju.

Thorn fragment 3 lists a conversation between two people. One a guardian. One a non guardian. Yet it says that the conversation has 3 people. Shin malphur, jaren ward, and dregden yor. Shin malphur is a renegade hunter which mostly means he is the non guardian in the conversation as jaren ward and dregden yor are guardians. Shin malphur was the kid from the the last word fragments in the grimoire. Jaren ward gifted malphur the last word and got a new gun called the rose. He gifted malphur the last word because they were friends. In the conversation in thorn fragment 3, someone kept saying a name and how they were friends, yet the name mentioned is redacted. And the other person says that's not me anymore and that he changed his name so as people will remember that person as a hero and the person he is now as a villain. And that's why there is 3 people listed when there's only 2 there. It's shin malphur trying to get through to his friend jaren ward who has become dregden yor. That's pretty much all I've figured out. Plus jaren ward and dregden yor sound alike.
