Titan story Chp. 5: Let the testing begin

The walk to the Jungle Academy was a quiet but swift one. Laurentine apparently wanted to be there quickly so he lead on. I stayed back with Angelica so she would not be left alone in the back. I watched Laurentine with suspicion the entire time. I've seen anti - social types before (me being one of them) but this kid was in a league of his own, to the point of it being a disorder. He rarely spoke except when spoken to, even then they were two word answers at best. And being unable to seen any part of his skin made me wonder more what was up with him. Charles was still arguing with Elizabeth, this time she was arguing back and winning. (This has never happened before except with Laurentine's ghost, James.) Charles grew to ask less and less questions and soon floated back to my side to hover in silence. I looked at him with a teasing grin. "Finally found your match?" He sat silently for a moment. "I... will never want to communicate with that... ghost again..." I laughed. "She beat you at arguing?!" "No...." Instead of an answer, my HUD popped up in front of my left eye. What I saw made me shudder. I looked at Charles. "She showed you this?!" "Described it as she went." "All of it?..." "I left before the last part." I shut off the HUD when he said that. I glanced over at Elizabeth. She was staring at us. If ghosts could have a sadistic face, she would be wearing it. I looked back in front of me and watched as the Academy came into view. "This... is gonna be... fun...." I mumbled to myself. The Jungle Academy is a tall building, laced with vines, moss, and roots from years and years of being in this death trap. Fireteams were lined up at several stations to receive a packet, containing their assignment. The three of us got in a short line and waited. Despite the chatter, few spoke of strategy and instead spoke about themselves and other irrelevant materials. When we got up to the station, an alumni Warlock was sitting at the table, marking things down on a clipboard. He glanced at us and jotted a few notes down. He handed me a packet. "Your the leader, go find a place to call camp and read what you must do." He looked me square in the eye. "Chose wisely if you haven't already." I felt unnerved by that as we walked a bit away to discuss our plans. Laurentine was the first to speak. "So where do we go?" "Idk..." Said Angelica. "I don't go here often..." She watched the edge of the trees with some worry in her eyes. "I'd suggest we scout the area before we go on." Laurentine sat on the ground and was still as a statue. "Nice idea. We should move ahead and..." Before I could finish, he disappeared from view. Small footprint in the grass indicated where he was as he entered the forest. "So much for being leader..." I sighed and followed him. "W... wait for me!..." Angelica said as she followed behind me. Already this test was falling apart and we haven't even started yet... https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/128462694/0/0 link to chapter four. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/137702012/0/0 link to chapter six
