Weird Destiny "did you know?" Facts here!

I'll start off. Did you know? that when a crucible game ends (when you can't move anymore) there is exactly 44 seconds untill you go to orbit? Do you know? When Rasputin was fighting during the collapse, he injured the traveler in purpose, and it released the ghosts and sent out a massive final blast of light to push back the darkness and create the awoken. Post you own fun facts below! Hope you enjoyed mine! Edit: With the new hotfix you can rotate your guardian while viewing if. Thanks to Cryothorn for the tip.

The warlocks taught bladedancers how to blink. They tried to teach the Strikers, but strikers were too interested in smashing things with their power armour than space magic. Warlocks hate hunters, however. Not because they ruin their nova bomb with agility, but because they have the ability to be smarter than warlocks. Its just that hunters simply dont care. They rather be out in the field fighting the enemy than studying its dead body. Hunters are very intelligent, and make marveloud mechanics and techies, and the warlocks realize this. They dont worry about titans however, because they are dumber than the other classes (in lore). In other words, hunters+warlock=cool kid vs. smart kid. Edit: Titans arent really dumb, I used the phrase euphemistically. Titans must undergo more training to acess the power of light (aka space magic) than other classes, which is why titans unlock Striker first, which relies more on maxing out the potential of the power armour they wear. Hunters have an innate ability to bind a handcannon with light, and warlocks can tap into the void. Defenders can tap into the void as well, with the ward of dawn power. Even then, their connection with the traveler is weaker than the other classes. Edit 2: Guardians don't choose their class, the traveler does. [REDACTED] Edit 3: Since for some reason people are still replying to this, I should announce the power armour thing was pre-release information and might not be accurate. You guys are relentless. Edit 3: Quit liking and replying!

The Fallen House of Wolves once dwelt amongst the Jovians. They gathered at Ceres in preparation for Twilight Gap. It is there that the Awoken attacked, destroying Ceres and instigating the Reef Wars. This saved the City, as was Queen Sov's intent, but at the cost of revealing the existence of the Reef. Virixas, Kell of Wolves, fell at Ceres. The Fallen House of Exiles is present on Mars, just not in Meridian Bay. They have a known presence on Olympus Mons. Dude, it's a whole world out there. You'll never experience anything if you never get out of Freehold. What's this nonsense about Time Portals? The true name of the Fallen is Eliksni. The Eliksni once had a great and noble civilisation before suffering their own version of the Collapse, likely at the hands of the Darkness. They called their collapse "The Whirlwind." My own view is that pre-Whirlwind Eliksni might have made excellent friends and allies had contact ever been made. Many Houses were lost to the Whirlwind. One such House was the House of Rain. It was Rain's prophecy of the Kell of Kells that motivated Skolas to lead the Wolves in rebellion. Shortly before the Whirlwind the Eliksni people encountered the Traveller in their system. The Fallen came to Sol in search of it, tracking it down even as they fled the Darkness. They call it the Great Machine, and they believe it has the power to save them. Their servitors may be designed spherically because of the Traveller. They hate the City and its army of ghouls for selfishly hoarding the Great Machine they so desperately need. Mara Sov sent Skolas to Jupiter as a gift to the Nine. The Nine gave him a Ketch and set him loose. A Ketch no doubt paid for with a wallet fat with Strange Coin. Nice job breaking it, hero. Prince Uldren's Crows take the form of some kind of feathered machine. The Fallen need Ether to survive, without it they starve. In this system their only source of Ether are the servitors, which produce it from materials in the environment. Servitors can only be made by other servitors, and they rely on the Prime Servitor to maintain their line. The loss of the Prime Servitor is devastating to both the servitor programming and the House's Ether supplies. The Devils of the Cosmodrome have witnessed their children gasp and die from Ether-draught since Sepiks-Prime died by your hand. Never believe that they know anything but hate for you. The rank of an Eliksni warrior determines their Ether ration. The size of the Ether ration determines the growth of the Eliksni Warrior. This is why Kells and Archons are the biggest. Rumourmill Extra: There may exist or once have existed a House of Scars. Heretical dregs notwithstanding, the Fallen do not worship the darkness, and act to oppose its forces, yet unwittingly serve its intent nonetheless. They may also be unknowing tools of the Traveller. The Cabal may be in a similar situation. The Cabal arrived in Sol in flight from another force. Likely the Darkness, perhaps Oryx. The Cabal have or had a great Empire. Loyalty to that Empire varies between deployments, some considering Mars a part of the Empire, others claim it to be an independent settlement. This may be predicated on whether or not they personally believe that their Empire still exists. Khepri's sting is named for Khepri, the Egyptian Scarab God (bonus: the ancient Egyptian word for scarab was Kheprer). The bug on the gauntlet is a scarab. Scarabs are a kind of dung beetle. Enjoy your exotics. Qodron, Gate Lord is in the Prison of Elders voluntarily.

Did you know that the fallen are the only enemy race that uses all elemental damages as weapons, the other races use only two. Fallen Arc=pistols, sniper, rifles, shank, skiff, the grenade thing, pike and heavy pike Solar=Shrapnel launcher, the walker's cannon Void=servitors Hive Arc= Boomer, thrall melee and explosion(I think), wizard's magic (the solar shield doesn't count as a weapon) Void= shredder, shrieker, Ogre, tombship Vex Solar= rifle, sniper, harpies Void=the weapon that minotaurs use, cyclops, hydra, goblin and hobgoblin melee Cabal Arc=psionic wave (again the void shield doesn't count as a weapon) Solar= Everything else that the cabal uses

~ felwinter's lie is a warlocks weapon. As proven by looking at one of their class items. ~ Shooting a nade will proc certain gun effects. EX bad juju will auto refill the clip and red death ill heal and reload faster. ~ The titan we saw pre release with the purple armor. Everyone asks if the helm is in the game. The answer is kind of. It's now helm of saint 14. load up destinyDB and view in 3d and look under the helmet. ~titan's jump is actually the fastest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxj0rorUehU ~patience and time used to be called closing time. ~NLB has sniper glint even with no scope. ~3rd subclass was never originally planned. 3rd slot was going to be a copied subclass of the one you locked in. Locking in a class gave you more armor, recovery, or agility depending on your class. ~Depending on the direction you swipe your nova bomb when you use shatter you can either tighten it's AOE or spread it out more. ~the perk Knee pads does not stack with blade dancer's perk that lets them run faster and slide farther. ~skull of dire's improved siphon does not stack with the perk "the hunger" ~air borne modifier doesn't stack with perigrines greaves extra air damage. ~Suppressor nades work in pve as well. Prevents teleporting on any enemy and actually stops a wizard from shooting for a small time as examples. ~If you activate golden gun and then crouch to invis (using kepris sting) it applies the DOT poison your melee normally has to each shot. ~shadow cloak does effect don't touch me's. ~kepris extra BS damage doesn't stack with the perk back stab. ~back stab will proc anywhere on a person that is not directly in front of the person you melee. ~Dropping a blinding bubble on a conflux prevents any vex from sacrificing since the blind animation over rides the sacrifice one. ~A titan can survive the over soul damage using fist of havoc with unstoppable on. Can make more then one person live if you have everyone sit in 2 titan bubbles over lapped one with armor and the other with improved blessing. ~A blade dancer's absurd tracking or air dancing is entirely dependent on when you swing. meaning if you swing right as someone blinks you follow them and hit them still. Arc blade is also connection dependent. thus meaning normal players can end up taking more then one hit in a bad match. ~I believe armor of light effects your force barrier. Only explainable reason why I can shotgun melee a titan in armor of light and it doesn't even strip their force barrier. ~Keyhole does not work on a titan bubble. HOWEVER! Nighthawk helmet does so much damage in one shot that it kills the bubble and continues going to hit the titan. ~You can 3 shot body shot with the last word if you run aggressive ballistics and are attacking someone with low armor. ~the hunters flux grenade actually does less damage then any other sticky nade in the game even when stuck. This is seen from wearing the ram helmet. I still die from other sticks. but not that one. ~Radiant skin alone lets you live from one golden gun shot. ~perigrine greaves can one shot anyone mid super except unstoppable fist of havoc and a warlock with max armor, ram, flame shield, and radiant skin all active at once. ~It's possible to one shot headshot both blade dancers and self revive warlocks if you have a high impact sniper/shotgun. ~the juggernaught shield you get from sprinting as a titan can tank a GG shot. ~sliding allows you to duck all melees even if they lunge. ~ram alone lets you not get 2 shotted by thorn. ~feed back fences will not trigger if you kill them with a melee. ~it's possible to extend the range on a warlock melee a bit further if you sprint cancel while pushing forward with your melee. Might have missed some things. EDIT: the oracle perks used in VOG work on the mines in PoE. And super good advice gets ammo back when shooting at oracles and the oversoul. EDIT 2: Secret round on pulse rifles does not fire a 4th shot. it instead returns a round back to your inventory if you miss one of your 3 bullets. The idea behind this is if you put 3 bursts down to kill someone you probably missed at least 3 bullets thus giving you back a burst. Mirv rounds on vengence is very similar cluster bombs. the difference being cluster bombs land in sort of a random pattern and mirv is more of a consistent circular pattern. Also mirv has less explosions but does more damage. It can be rolled on uncommon launchers but hezen vengance is the only legendary to have it. Being revived in trials while wearing a perk that says you "spawn with melee energy" you will revive with a grenade (or 2 if running gift of the sun and void fang vestments.) Flared magwell and speed reload are similar. one increases your reload stat by a flat amount the other increases it by a flat percentage. basically you want speed reload on a gun with a low reload and flared magwell on a gun with a high base reload. Handling stat involves raise and drop times and ADS speed. Aim assist stat involves sticky aim and bullet magnetism. Aim assist help on a sniper doesn't help you get head shots through bullet magnetism. rather it makes your crosshairs stick on a person more making it harder to swipe off of them. Where as on primary weapons it's more bullet magnetism. The bonus from hidden hand isn't really noticeable until you get the value above 80. (which thorn with send it doesn't reach.) Blink has a damage resistence time period. If you blink at the right time you can blink and live from any sticky grenade stuck to you. Ram with max armor (includes angry magic where it applies:) a razors edge swipe, 2 shot head shot thorn, 3 shot body shot thorn, a normal shoulder charge, flux sticky nade, a golden gun shot off of self res, arc/fire bolt + one thorn shot, 2 predeyths shots to the stomach from self res. I can link videos if requested. The extra armor you can get wearing a poe chest piece against fallen almost makes up for the level disadvantage. EDIT 3: I actually ran out of space. So I have to reply to this post with another post. Be sure to look below!

                  •
Clears Throat Dr Shim was one of the members of the Ishtar Collective, they had captured a living Vex Goblin without its head and studied it. In which they found that it was running an infinite number of simulations, all of which held the Ishtar Collective studying the Vex in question. This is an issue because if that's the case, how are they sure that they aren't a simulation? How are they sure they aren't in the grasps of a God, Vex Goblin? There was only one way to figure this out, and if they were... their new god wouldn't be happy. They had to bring in a warmind. These magnificent pieces of machienery were completely incapable of being predicted by the Vex, and therefore couldn't be simulated by them. After this event it gets a little confusiing and i haven't decided on the most likely meaning to Ghost Fragment Vex 4, so i won't speak of it more than that. We go to his Archives in that mission, and the computer calls us by his name. This brought up the popular theory that we are in fact Dr Shim. i completely disagree with this theory however, first off you have to understand that this is a video game where we are all essentially playing a faceless character. Everyone isn't one person, everyone is everyone. Second, before you even enter the Archives your ghost hacks into a hand scanner. This was the way that you enter. It is MUCH more likely that he simply accessed the last recorded entry, Dr. Shim, and the computer greeted who the poor artificial intelligence thought was there. hope that helps
• Go to mars and head to scablands. The building in front of the bridge that leads to the next zone has a tall antenna that you can jump on top of (easier done with lock or titan). While on top of said antenna wait for cabal drop ship to come near. Jump on top of ship immediately get on your sparrow. I don't want to ruin the surprise, but I will say if you're a titan have your ground pound ready ;)

                      • Over five Bungie staff members left the creative team because Activision forced Bungie to tone down Destiny's story and interactivity to a teen rated level. Originally the Black Garden was to be the heart of the Traveller, but Activision saw this as a betrayal that was too mature for younger gamer to understand.

                            • SUROS Regime was known as ARCUS Regime and you could switch firing modes. Red Death was supposed to be an Auto Rifle, but the devs realized that there were less Pulse Rifles so they switched things around and the perk was supposed to heal you IF you scored a precision kill. You were able to equip any gun be it legendary or exotic way before hitting lvl 20. But in favor of end game mechanics, the devs scrapped that idea. Sniper Rifles were supposed to be on the Heavy slot and hand cannons on the special slot. But the devs felt that it didn't quite fit in for some unexplained reason. Kinda stupid this one actually. Gjallarhorn was known as Ragnarok during its first stages of development and the perk was actually called Gjallarhorn, but that changed obviously. A perk only achieved after fully leveling up a subclass granted that final bit of attributes to max out either armor, recovery, and agility. But the devs and their shenanigans scrapped the idea. When gear was fully leveled, you could purchase a final upgrade which increased defense and attack but locked out previous choices. You could equip any armor type and still be able to reach the max light level, but this never made it to the final stage of development. Khvostov 7G-02 was going to be the first stage of an exotic Auto Rifle called "Ancestor" it description was "A lost gun in a lost world. But thanks to you, it has reached the pinnacle of it's existence." One of it's perks was known as "Ancient Ally" which granted more super energy upon a kill and spawned an orb of light when scoring a precision kill. Another perk was known as "Vengeance." This perk increased weapon damage, at the cost of reload speed. Even though "Ancestor" was a futuristic version of Khvostov 7G-02, one of the sights for this gun was "The Broken Visor" which is the one we know today. Hard Light had a final perk which made it an ARC weapon, but locked out previous choices, so the devs dropped the perk. Warlocks had a final perk which made it possible to max out the recovery attribute, same with Titans and Hunters, but for Titans it was armor, and for Hunters it was agility. Crest of Alpha Lupi was going to be a reward from Alpha Lupi herself after rescuing her from the Fallen, but this along with the original story of Destiny was scrapped out. Thorn was only obtainable via Charlemagne's Vault, but it was turned into a bounty instead. Charlemagne's Vault is a raid located on Mars, below the Dust Palace. The final boss for this raid was supposed to be Charlemagne himself, a mad Guardian gone rouge and working with the cabal. Every exotic had a specific task in order to acquire them. SUROS Regime was obtainable after bringing golden age blueprints to SUROS and making them fabricate the weapon using the blueprints. Thunderlord (before the E3 presentation) was obtainable after defeating a Fallen Baron and looting his vault. Patience and Time was a gift from Cayde-6 himself after completing his final personal mission. Ikora Rey gifted you Invective, and Commander Zavala gifted you Gjallarhorn after finding the armor and weapon parts of fallen Guardians during the battle of Twilight gap. These armor and weapon parts could only be found while exploring Twilight Gap and defeating special enemies and bosses located there. Fate of All Fools was obtainable after completing the Trials of Osiris (Not the multiplayer mode) before the rework of Destiny, you must complete special trials made by Osiris himself in order to gain access to a portion of the game, this was scrapped and made into a bounty instead. Hard Light was a gift from the Reef. The Vex Mythoclast was obtained after clearing VoG (This hasn't changed). Super Good Advice could only be obtained by finding it. Supposedly, you had to hunt down Kabr and his team after disappearing all of a sudden. You would encounter them except Kabr, approaching Pahanim's corpse would trigger a cutscene explaining what happened and your guardian picking up Super Good Advice. This weapon also had a personality itself and could interact with the player and say things when shooting and killing enemies. Also, after the cutscene, you stand before the VoG, unlocking the raid in the process. Vault of Glass consisted of rescuing Kabr and fighting along side him against Atheon, he would then sacrifice himself and forge Aegis Shield, allowing your team to finish off Atheon. But after the rework of the story of the game, this was scrapped and made into a Grimoire instead. The Queen's brother is known as Crow. Before accessing the reef, you had to survive waves of Fallen in the arena. Doing so would then grant you a session with the queen and continue the story. Humans, Exos, and Awoken had different story lines. The story line we know today is from the Exo. The human story line consisted of you surviving a Fallen raid and arriving at the city, you would seek refuge at the Tower, there Ghost would approach you and make you a Guardian, for it sensed the light within you. The Awoken started at the reef, being judged by the queen and eventually exiled form the reef. You would then fight your way out and arrive to the Last City. Earth was supposed to be the last planet to be unlocked and most difficult one to complete. There are 3 factions not present in the game. There is a 5th enemy race, supposedly the one with the triangle ships. The Fallen and the Cabal are actually allies. We can't see that because there isn't an area were the 2 races are together. The Hive hasn't encountered the Cabal and the Vex yet. The fallen is the only race to have encountered all other races. Before the rework of Destiny, Guardians had AI followers to choose from. Companions to aid you in battle. The Exo stranger, Crow, and rougue Guardians were part of the roster of companions who tagged along during missions and arena battles on the reef. Kinda how the Arbiter and SGT Johnson helped you back in Halo 3, but with improved mechanics and AI of course. But unfortunately, this was scrapped and fireteams were introduced. Still prefer AI companions... they don't go AFK during a match. (note: this fact about Talkative-9 is a rumor, so I'm not 100%, but nonetheless, I think it's hilarious. Credit goes to AftermathSoldier07) There was a funny, mysterious vendor called Talkative-9. He always appeared during missions and strikes. The role of Talkative-9 was to jump into a nasty firefight along with the Guardians and start to talk to them and offer sweet deals and items for purchase. Talkative-9 could be killed by the enemy, doing so would increase his stock prices immensely the next time he appeared, so Guardians must tolerate his annoying banter and protect him from the enemy. After clearing the area, you could then interact with Talkative-9 and see his wares. They supposedly ranged from common weapons to legendary weapons and armors. And upgrade materials. His currency was motes of light, glimmer, and materials. Talkative-9 is not an exo, he is a drone like those found in the Tower. Xur, the infamous Agent of the Nine, didn't sold exotic weapons and armor. Instead, he provided items that could increase the light level of all armors that were rare or legendary. He also sold items that upgraded weapons as well. Last but not least, Xur was the only way to fully upgrade and exotic item. He also sold materials and engrams. Bad Juju was supposed to be a VOID weapon, Last Word was SOLAR, and Hard Light was ARC. Patience and Time had a perk that allowed you to shoot ammo boxes and collect the ammo from any distance. Ice Breaker was obtainable by bringing a broken sniper rifle to Banshee-44. He would then attempt to fix it, but instead he breaks it again. But he actually perfected it, hence receiving Ice Breaker. The Last Word was obtainable by defeating Malphur in a 1V1 combat on the arena. It was part of the story, before bungie reworked it all up. Truth was obtainable by doing a special mission for the Speaker. He would give you an amulet that needed to be brought to Xur. Xur would then hand over a Launcher. Bringing this Launcher to Banshee would then be crafted into Truth. Universal Remote was only obtainable by raiding the Cabal Imperial Land Tank. It was part of the Story, before Bungie reworked the story of Destiny. Shaxx was supposed to appear along side Saladin during Iron Banner events. Saladin handed over armors and class items, while Shaxx geared you up with weapons and buffs. The lovely cryptarch... There were supposed to be 3 cryptarchs. A human and exo along with the awoken bastard we know today. You could interact with the Fallen found on the reef. There was even supposed to be a Fallen vendor. She would sell primarily ARC weapons and armors with high discipline. During a mission on the Reef, your primary objective was to escort a wounded Dreg to the queen. Failing the mission would lead to the execution of the Dreg, completing it however, would still lead to the execution of the Dreg, but you get a reward from the Queen. This was scrapped after the rework of the story. Remember that Earth was supposed to be the last planet to unlock? Well, after a mission, a cutscene shows your guardian escaping from the Reef. He is shot down and crash landed on Earth. See that big crashed ship on Earth we see today? That was supposed to be YOUR ship. After the crash, you would then have to find a new ship. Which is the same one we get when we first started Destiny.

                              • That's not true. With 1000 yard stare I do 417 in close to mid range and on crossroads when I snipe them from the other platform it does 317 to the head.
