I don't know about you but I really miss how the crucible was before they "fixed" everything. Back when Suros users were a dime a dozen, fusion rifles were worth while, and shotguns were supposedly OP. (Personally I think hey are 20x worse now that the god shorties are a dime a dozen and controlling special ammo is now a thing).
People actually used more variety in weapons. Now 95% of players use one of 3 hand cannons and one of 3 shotguns. People actually used to have gun battles. Now most fights consist of blink / shotgun.
Would love to see a throw back event where it is all put back to where it was right after they fixed the ungodly overpowered Mythoclast 1.0. That's when I had the most fun playing in the crucible. Thoughts? Bumps?

i miss the special dropping like rain, and being able to kill guys so they drop purple bricks. vanilla destiny was as fun as it gets.
-
I enjoyed it most after the big exotic rebalance update. SUROS was still good yet not broken, Mythoclast was good, Thorn was good, TLW was good, and you could choose any special weapon and do reasonably well. The fusion rifle nerf, auto rifle nerf, and the ability to roll for an absolutely perfect shotgun took a lot of fun away. The only good thing that has happened to PvP weapon choices since then has been the pulse rifle buff.
-
I feel this to I used to use the fate bringer and good auto rifles but now it's just exotic hand cannons and shot guns
-
Everybody is using shotguns in crucible now
-
The only good thing that came out of Destiny was its beta
-
Same. Same. ):
-
I agree
-
Bump, totally agree
-
Totally agree

The current meta sucks. It's boring to play. How long can you use handcannon/ shotgun and still have fun. I refuse to be forced into a specific way of playing to win... And my k/d probably shows it lol.
-
I liked it when you played on fun maps such as first light and bastion in clash and control
-
Agree. I first started playing destiny just after they nerfed mythoclast 1.0 and SUROS was still king. Not because it was OP but because it was a good all purpose gun with solid impact and felt amazing to use
-
Yup, I miss using suros and vanquisher
-
"People used more variety" Yeah right, like when you had no choice but to use an assault rifle.
-
Yep, it use to be a lot more fun. Back when everyone was using rare auto rifles and the pocket infinity was the most op weapon.
-
Back when I was the only one using Thorn...
-
I would suck Luke smiths asshole whilst strokking off deej to have Bastion and First light return to the crucible. #nohomo
-
I use the judgement vi shotgun

Edited by Clarence: 7/1/2015 3:36:34 PMI'm sure that practically NO ONE knows this but back before the (rightfully deserved) vex nerf, sunsinger warlocks with touch of flame equipped, could light people on fire simply by shooting them with a solar weapon as long as radiance was active. Combine that with viking funeral, it felt like I was a god. They stealth nerfed it along with vex.
-
I miss when heavy ammo would drop after you killed someone who had it, never understood why they took that out, it used to be so fun and rewarding to beat someone who had heavy ammo cause you got the drop. Now all you can do is drop a few t-bags and leave. LAMEEE.
-
Back when seeing someone use a hand cannon was respectable among the auto rifles. I do miss that too my friend
-
You just need the right fusion rifle. Not all of them are bad for the crucible.
-
You mean shotgun fest times? Nah, I like it now, I was already rocking my Hawkmoon back then, before it was cool.
-
I miss them too. I'm tired of seeing hand cannons, so I mainly stick to pulse rifles now.
-
I think they should do exactly that, except keep pulse rifles buffed and decrease hand cannon stability overall.
-
Shotguns should be heavy weapons, hand cannons special weapons
