I went into this believing the goal was to understand how the Hive channel the darkness. It is not. The goal is to do what Dredgen Yor could not, fight fire with fire. The Thorn was a human-made weapon infused with Hive sorcery and used to kill guardians to steal their Light. The Hive sword is a hive-made weapon infused with Hive sorcery and used to kill guardians to steal their Light. But could humans make a weapon, infuse it with Hive sorcery, and use it to kill Hive? Make something that could channel their darkness, steal it, and use it to help us gather Light. Could such a weapon be made? Could it be wielded? If you created something using the Hives desire to destroy all of existence, could you use that to your benefit? What would it look like? Could we use it to gather our power faster, and dispense that power on our enemies? So many questions. Old human customs talk about objects infused with magical powers. They called those objects Juju. Good juju stemmed from good objects and deeds, like medicine. But I am not looking for a cure, I am looking for a way to destroy a plague. To destroy the Hive.
