I almost pre-ordered The Taken King as soon as it was announced and listed at £28. I was heading out on vacation so left it until I returned only to find the UK price has now been revised upwards to £40. This is a significant bump and 50% more expensive than the US equivalent at $40. I find this unacceptable and will not be buying but I'm curious to see how the genuine Destiny fans feel about this rather than the very vocal and somewhat biased nay-sayers that populate the regular gaming site articles and forums. There is also the question of the Legendary edition being £46 from Amazon or £75 digital, but that's another story. (I did scan the forums looking for a similar question and didn't spot one, sorry if I'm duplicating anything)
