So when Destiny players said that they wanted the class items and shaders sold separately, we meant for like $5. Instead, Bungie decided to make them the same price as their last two expansions. They've gone full retard. This is valued at a sixth of the cost of the entire game. This means that if you divided up how much money you could have spent total on destiny so far, 1/6 of it would be spent on this. Bullshit.

3 or the items are exotic and help boost xp gains. It's like having an automatic nightfall xp boost, that's not cosmetic that's game changing. Allowing you to level up faster. Of course it's going to be more money.

Yeah I'm just paying$40

Edited by sansqanch: 6/25/2015 4:00:27 AMEnergy drink 3$ Coffee 3$ 3 pack of condoms 3$ Tin foil $3 Chap stick $3 Happy meal $3 Mailing a thank you letter to my Grandma $3 I could do without of all of this for over a month, and save this to buy a simple game which brings so much enjoyment. But I have a job, so I buy it because it is easy to afford, and because I like it.
-
So what? If you don't want to pay what they cost, don't buy them. I swear sometimes I think everyone on the forums was dropped on their head.
-
Obviously have never played a valve game.
-
Bethesda believed horse armor was worth $2. One useless cosmetic item for two entire one dollar bills. Bungie is offering you nine cosmetic items, three of which have gameplay affecting perks, for $20. Or you can take that $20 and buy nine useless horse armor DLCs for Oblivion. It's your call really.
-
PSA: I'm done answering questions for now, maybe I'll be back at it tomorrow, maybe I won't. Leave questions overnight. I'll try to get to all of them.
-
Thats how you sell DLCs
-
20 dollars is about right for CE content. You were never going to buy it for 5 dollars what the hell is wrong with you people do you not understand economics at all?
-
Cost is $20 bucks, okay sure. So here in the frozen north (Canada) the lowest minimum wage in the country is $10.20/hr so even if you're a high school kid working at McDonald's this is at most 2 hrs work. I figure an awful lot of folks will spend a hell of a lot longer than 2hrs bitching about the cost on forums soooo maybe reconsider the value of your time?
-
20 is actually cheaper than most other cosmetic extras from basically any other game. Do some research before whining lol. I'll be getting it.
-
These forums are pathetic.
-
Edited by xepic: 6/25/2015 3:56:27 AMQuit whining everyone is sick of this shit nobody wants to hear how you don't want to buy an item worth 2 hours of petty work
-
I'm pretty sure everyone would have bitched if they were $10 too
-
27 cosmetic items=the same price as destiny
-
Seriously? You all whined for days because you had to pay $80 for it, now you whine because they cut it in 1/4? Get your shit together and stop complaining for two seconds of your life. You don't have to buy it, stop acting like they're forcing you.
-
Don't buy it
-
Maybe bungie is still new at cosmetic dlc valuation. They've gone horse armor style, and a bit further.
-
Oh no, I totally didn't think that this was going to happen!
people always find something to bitch about
-
QUIT YOUR BITCHING. Dumb bitch. Only bitches bitch.
-
TTK = 40 Legendary = 60 Which means Base Game + DLC = 20 Digital Edition (Which comes with above) = 80 Which means Emotes + Class Items = 20 All is fair.
-
They didn't have a choice on the price. They couldn't change the whole price structure.
-
Well whether you buy them separately or not, everyone who gets them is paying 20$. TTK-40$ Legendary-60$ Meaning the base game and the DLC-20$ Digital edition which comes with everything plus emotes and shit-80$ So emotes and shit-20$

2.22 per item. Below the industy standard actually. Tf2 charges up to 10$ for a single cosmetic item. Evolve charges 1.99$ to 2.99$ for a single skin. Planet Side two charges upwards of 50$ for in game cash and 20$ for 2 weapons. Dying Light charges 5$ for 3 skins Shadows of Mordor charges 2$ to add enemies to the game.
$20 is surprisingly fair, actually....

This, people defending this shit are moronic fanboys who quite literally will throw their money at anything. Maybe luke Smith was right....
