[u][b]PROLOGUE[/b][/u] First there was darkness, then a great blinding light. Strong and powerful, piercing like a sharpened blade through water. And then, silence. The rocks scream. The Earth begs for mercy as it is torn in two. Shattered, crushed, falling, and then... silence. The Traveler taught us to reach amongst the stars and grasp for knowledge. To stand tall and claim our place in the universe. And so, we reached. We learned. We grew. Earth having become a powerful and wise culture had put aside the savagery of scavenging among themselves and oppression of those who were weak. We were good, but only in our own eyes. The creatures of Darkness challenged us, and we left the weak behind. Many died. Their bones now lay amongst the ruins of our old colonies. To serve as a reminder of our foolishness, However; not all has been lost. The Traveller bestowed upon you shards of his light. Making you warriors to push back that darkness which had engulfed our freedom. To resharpen that blade of old, that had so cleanly cut away the foul things of the beginning ages. For true power, is born through humility. This is the knowledge of all who are taught in our time. The stories which come after are written as we partake in them, and their end is unknown. [b][u]Notes from the author[/u][/b] Just a heads up real quick. My knowledge of actual Destiny lore is greatly limited. So not everything I write will be accurate to the original story.
