I don't know about you guys but I've noticed that there isn't a single AI Ally in the game that you can play with, no vanguard robots, no special warriors, nothing at all like most other games. My idea, and proposal to bungie is this: You know how there are random roving bands of pikes? Why not vanguard patrols? Where a group of 3 or more vanguard robots on sparrows drive by and fight enemies on earth. They don't do much damage, they are not the best fighters, and alone, their success rate is slim, but you can fight with them and they can even aid you if thry happen by you. It'd really change the perspective of destiny in people's eyes, right now we see no power, no influence of the vanguard. We see other humans like us roaming around killing everything, but what if we saw the vanguard fighting with the forces of darkness and we can choose to go and help them? Then it seems like we are actually in a world of the light vs. The dark and we can tip the scales. It'll feel like an actual RPG. It's a little thing that I don't think takes much effort, but could really change the feel of destiny. To see groups of vanguard robots fighting battles, to find a battle-torn group of robots regrouping at a river or a place with no enemies, really makes earth seem like a battleground, and humanity is desperately fighting back. What do you guys think?
