I purchased ESO. I don't think I've been so disappointed with a game before in my life (Actually FF8 was horrid). I mean I thought the tutorial was like a joke where the Mario 64 graphics and gameplay were just a gag. Nope. The whole game is like this. Would have been kinda cool ten years ago. Then some of my friends start saying "well at least it's better than Destiny" "It has better story gameplay bla bla". Haha, sure dudes. Yeah, wall after wall of text and slashing back and forth endlessly breeds real depth. I'd rather read grimoire cards all day. It's not even a real Elder Scrolls game ffs. Zenimax whatever they are called made a half-assed MMO that should of been free on the internet, and Bethesda bought the rights, packaged it and boom a bunch of idiots like me fell for it. All those whiners who bitch about Destiny really should see how piss poor the other guys are doing it.

As of 11-11-15 I will be uninstalling destiny. Some of you may ask why others will simply hit the back button an play the same missons, do the same bounties, ride to the next way point of the strike you've done 10,000 times already or bring your worthless engram's to that retard cryptark. I however will be playing a game that the gods themselves praise. I will be playing the almighty Fallout 4! Oh yes I will be enjoying new and different adventures in the wastelands where things are different an fun on minute to minute basis. So good bye have fun doing the same handful of crappy redundant things until your eyes bleed and your hands fall off.

You know nothing about video games, destiny is one of the worst games ever made. Elder scrolls is bloody amazing for the first real rpg mmo on console. The experience you had with it would've differed if you played longer, or actually had some skill.
-
That's the problem you're going in thinking it will be like skyrim but with friends well you might wanna look into a game before you buy it next time and you can't compare destiny to ESO completely different genres
-
One map is larger than the whole game of Destiny, I'm willing to bet that.
-
ESO is amazing, when you consider the scale of what they are doing. No, it's not Skyrim-beautiful. Who cares? It plays great, has a good storyline, and factions mean something.
-
You honestly have never played an mmo before. Every damn mmo looks pretty much like ESO if not worse. Every damn mmo has bugs and lags. Every damn mmo has content updates and patches. Every damn mmo has way more content than any PS4 game. The content in ESO beats destiny by a long shot. There is so much of it that including good graphics would make people crash and have many more bugs and lags that there are now. Most games now give you 10 hours of content with "amazing graphics." Yeah go play that shit. I could give you many reasons why destiny sucks compared to ESO. Sure the graphics aren't great (which is expected because it is an mmo dumbass) but here are some things that really makes me hate destiny. -Most of the enemies look the same, the bosses are just bigger sizes than the minions. -The grind is so boring with the same damn bounties and missions over and over again. -Piss poor content including locked content which gives you only about 2 hours of play time before you finish all you dailies or weeklies. -Story that doesn't make sense Should I go on? Mmo's aren't for everyone, especially people who only care about cool graphic $60 crap.

Edited by Gomly1980: 6/17/2015 7:33:02 PM
Zenimax whatever they are called made a half-assed MMO that should of been free on the internet, and Bethesda bought the rights, packaged it
Might help if you knew what you were talking about before you spouted off an made yourself look like a moron. Zenimax Online Studios was created by Zenimax Media which is the parent company of both Zenimax Online and Bethesda. Bethesda published the game. They already own the rights to Elder Scrolls. ZOS was created just to develop this game. Stay in Destiny.... please. It's more suited for people like you.
-
Youre complaining about reading walls of text yet say you would read grimoire cards Also the text is part of the story and immersion You obviously arent using skills and havent unlocked many if you complain about just hacking and slashing
-
Elder Scrolls.
-
Moral of the story, they're both sh!t anyway... and we got fooled into buying one or the other, in some cases both.
-
Lol at anybody who bought the game expecting it to be exactly like an elder scrolls game but with multiplayer, which was never the intention. Make an mmo within the elder scrolls universe. That was their goal and they succeeded. If you expected anything more you set your expectations way too high. I can agree it was a dumb mistake for Bethesda to give this right to zenimax for their first ever game, they should have gone with a more experienced team. But it's still an above average mmo and a good experience for anybody looking to jump into the genre.
-
I have to ask, given you're not the first person to be disappointed with ESO on consoles, you know it's been out on PC? I mean sure some changes might marginally improve the game but still. Since ESO came out people have been saying it's not very good.
-
Eso is an mmo man, and considering it's on consoles I find it really impressive.

Sounds like you could be entertained by watching paint dry, which just about describes the Destiny experience.
-
Give me your copy then

The only thing that was actually really good about destiny was VoG. ToO is also good. PoE is too easy. Crota is too easy. ESO has a different experience for every alliance. Huge crafting depth. An unbelievable amount of side quests. 9 different races 4 different classes. A huge amount of endgame activities. And your going to sit there and say that destiny delivered a better game? Don't get me wrong I love destiny but zenimax's eso delivered the better game experience

Edited by DjNormal: 6/17/2015 6:50:22 PMThe story in MMOs is a hard sell. Everyone argues that the overall plot in WoW was pretty well done. But I honestly couldn't tell you the half of what was going on in the world. There were little local quests that I found interesting sometimes, but overall, it was about playing the game (for me). Going into a single player game, I expect the story to help motivate me to continue playing, which isn't even that important is the game is fun to play (for me). Lords Of The Fallen is a good example there... The gameplay isn't even all that great, but it appeals to my need for more Soulsborne style games and therefore I keep going, even is the plot is bad and the camera likes to get stuck in walls. My point being, I don't expect a great story in an online shooter or an MMO, I expect a game that's fun to play (with friends & randoms) and gives me enough loot to make me keep trying to improve my character. Even so, Destiny was a bit thin on the plot. But I still have a lot of fun playing the game, which is less than I did months ago, but still. I'll probably give ESO a whirl eventually, but i don't know if I want to get dragged into another endless soul sucking game. I still play WoW after all.

You've got a strange standard of quality, my friend.
