Old Gear & Reforging
Well it was suggested I that make my own topic about this thanks to the replies I got from another
What I suggested was Bungie re-add the original and Dark Below armour skins back into the inventory listings but with the newer light level. Then make all faction vendors rotate their gear on a timer with each refresh possibly offering a different variation, stat roll, and perk selection. This would allow further allow us to build the character we want.
This could also be done with the faction weapons (including reforge)
I'd also like to see the option for armour reforging...
[spoiler]You know the tri-angler building with the postmaster and special deliveries. Open an armourer in the third section (sells whites and greens, maybe the occasional blue, so he's like the gunsmith of armour for lower levels) and give him reforging of armour[/spoiler]

1 ReplyYes! I've made topics on this before, but anything for this idea to get attention. I think re-forging armor should re-roll the stats and the perks (with some restrictions, like extra heavy ammo only on "raid" gear), and give the task to Eva Levante. She must get so lonely in her tiny corner of the tower.

I bought this game with the intention of enjoying the variety. I miss the Beta when this game seemed fresh and new with many different possibilities and play-styles. Now it seems like they keep on trying to make it fresh and new a the cost of not remembering their roots at what makes the armor and weapons visually unique. They treat the Armor and Weapons like stinking fads that come and go which is totally silly.

1 ReplyI would definitely love to see the old styles of armor for sale again. I really like the look of a lot of it, but I just didn't have the space for it before Dark Below and we had no way of knowing we'd eventually be able to ascend it if we held onto it. I'd love to see the vanguard offer the old stuff with new light levels. If not that, then maybe a new vendor - The Archive Dealer. He could sell all the old Vanguard and Crucible armor at their previous light and stat levels. That way we'd still be able to use the stuff that used to be there, but still use etheric light to make it relevant to current end-game content. I'd also really like to see some way to re-roll which Intellect/discipline/strength armor has, as well as the perks on it. Honestly, it must feel like such a waste for the devs to have put all the time into designing the first 2 gens of armor and now have no way for us to get it again.
