How To Kill Skolas This Week With Mediocre Weapons (With A 33)
This video shows how to do the Skolas fight during void burn week if you don't have the weapons to kill him in the first 60 seconds. One of our teammates was a 33 with only a 331 void primary and a non maxed gjallarhorn. The other had a 365 praedeths revenge but no other void weapons. I had 365 truth and 365 efrideets spear.
The trick is teamwork and communication! You need to swap out the poison at around 10 seconds wherever you can and play to your classes strengths! A titan weapons of light will help out greatly at removing the servitor bond at the beginning and can provide dismantle protection throughout the fight. The self res makes the poison a lot easier to deal with because you can try and get it to the Warlock whenever possible. The hunter can use his invisibility to move around freely and make the mines wayyyy easier!
Break the Servitor bonds, dismantle the mines and then focus on Skolas. This creates a much more comfortable 3v1 grudge match with the boss and you just have to watch out for the poison swapping.
I found both of my teammates on the recruitment section of this app so you do not need lifelong friends or a clan to complete the 35 PoE. Both of my teammates had mediocre weapons at best and one of them was 33! We did this in 2 attempts because we communicated very well and everyone worked well with the mechanics of the fight.
