They seriously do need more options with editing and like the choice to make helmets invisible like on dragon age, I want them to put in like battle scars that can build up and become worse over time after dieing or big hits, like deep cuts in the metal or flesh. But also give the option to meet a "doctor" to adjust what scars you want visible where and when you would like them to be fully "healed" I don't like how few options there were to edit my actual character, having to count on different armor sets that everyone gets to be unique is pretty lame, I like that they added new skins and the ability to preview but I want ithe guardian yo truly feel like he is me, or that he can age, and grow over time through battle with a battle worn system to be implemented on the face and even armor/clothes. That can get worse and worse or fixed at any moment that appeals to the player. I want my guardian to start as a young hero who is affected with each battle he encounters and you actually see the growth over time in the scratches and dirt that builds on your face and armor and the armor/clothes slowly getting dirtier with scrapes and holes and blood of the guardian as well as enemies to build on your war drenched clothes after countless battles help shape the idea that your guardian is growing from each battle from a young gun to full fledged veteran of war. Being able to have more customization on all fronts honestlyz I wanna edit my scopes and see unique styles like borderlands status. And like with halo a customazable armor set where you can really pick piece by piece arm legs etc. each with their own attachments that can have effect or be purely for looks, being able to have my guardian become a man who becomes broken by the darkness relentless assault and giving my own little taste of a story that after a near fatal death giving my character an Exo robot arm just for the looks and to have a closer experience to my character and him to feel more like he's mine and I've been through his journey and when people ask telling that little story of why it happened or why I gave him a robotic arm after deciding he lost his real one in battle after the toll each battle had taken on his body and looks. Haha see even a minor bit of extra customization opens up tons of detailed stories that people will actually use to bring them closer to their guardians. The small set of 12 things to choose from that are supposed to differentiate you from other guardians and make you look or feel unique is almost sad. Not only does it make it painfully similar to so many other guardians but other than the tower your chances of looking unique are almost non existent. The armor sets all look the same for anyone of the same class as you and that just sucks. Another reason having multiple minor attachments for each piece of armor would be so beneficial. Almost every set of armor for my hunter has looked the same as the last. If you're lucky you get a scarf to make it more than minor lol. Exaggerating a bit but at the same time maybe not, other than color the armors are way too similar. They need add at least 100 more styles of armor that are as unique as a spartan from reach. I swear there is maybe 20 variable changes excluding color that make your armor different as you upgrade. Literally qish they would allow facial reconstruction to change your look in anyway along with the scar idea as an option to use. And also a fabrication option for your armors to edit how many eyes or the kind of visors etc. they need like news for speed underground fabrication options. Just use the halo reach armor options as inspiration. Let the guardians choose to make pieces bigger or smaller or tilted/moved/removed/ in any way you decide. But have each armor type have its own basic look. They need to fully revamp all the armor sets because too many are too similar an I feel like I am just seeing more of that same other than specifically unique pieces. This in depth customization would be so beneficial if they just started somewhere. I would love to see the option to customize attachments and stuff on guns as well to give them unique looks with colored lenses and different reticles ect. Finding duplicates or breaking down enough lower lvl gear types can be used toward maybe opening a new modification slot on armor and guns either adding an additional reason breaking down stuff is relevant or by maybe adding the weapon parts/gear to be spent on another aspect of guardians gear other than leveling up to make the guardian more unique with the additional add ons or the guns look like more than what another guardian already has. With something like this the inspect option has an even bigger appeal when you show off armors or weapons with like added suppressors, extended stocks, sawed off barrels, colored sights that may have the clan logo on the corner or colored camo paint to give a unique and personal touch to legendary/exotic weapons that almost every guardian already has. I am completely passionate about this in depth customization of each of these things would basically be such a big turnaround and give me so many options as a player for my character and my connection to my guardian that I would love to start all 3 of my guardians right now and meticulously take turns leveling and grinding with them to get new customizable armors and guns and maybe unlockables to use in customizing you characters base look more. Would be hooked into getting every armor set I could just to mess with each and figure out all the different looks I could create for my guardian without feeling like I'm picking up the exact same armor or gun my friend is wearing. The game would be much more addicting on so many different levels that would keep players more connected to their guardians and make them want to continuously play that character getting genuinely excited when they pick up another modification to put onto an armor piece or when they pick up the exact same armor with more slots to mod or find armor that can mod into another piece of the same to become something new? Getting pumped finding another armor piece you currently own because it allows you to had another mod slot that you can fabricate into more possibities than just the attachment/mod you unlock to be connected in the stock option given originally. But I doubt Bungie read this or any of the other in depth ideas I have had with the customization as well as spaceship flight. Which sucks because I have been so passionate about those changes that I have written super long in depth ideas to be implemented that will probably only be liked by a random person or two.but I guess here's hoping they are still going through these and might actually decide to use the idea. I find it hard to believe that I have come up with these ideas and no one at bungie has yet. Given all the hype and detail/features they said would be in this game with the world changing around you ect never made it in either they just did bits and pieces from their grand picture they touted about without actually pushing any one thing 100% besides the mechanics of the game lol. So anyone that took the time to read all this and might agree with the idea of making each guardians armor and guns more unique and personal should just like or reply on the subject to get the vision bumped and who knows maybe it will catch Bungies attention to read the entire post as well as implement some or all of the ideas into Destiny exactly or in some way similar! Here's hoping good ideas don't go unnoticed! Haha
