The trending topic on the feedback forums is optional matchmaking, and honestly the lack of such a basic tool in an online multiplayer game is symptomatic of what is wrong with Destiny, the game lacks, simple and short; it lacks polish, it lacks content, it plays like a game in beta testing, with all the glitches and connection issues and lack of social tools in PvE and the laggy unplayable mess that is the Crucible, the story elements in the story mode are disjointed story elements, almost like someone just took a few story elements from a storyboard and shoved them into the game without care for the sequence or without a care to actually flesh out the elements into a proper story. I have been struggling to put my mind on what the problem with Destiny is and it finally hit me, it feels like we have been sold pieces of an unfinished product. Now a lot of us bought into the Destiny hype, Bungie had a stellar reputation and the marketing for this game was very aggressive, so no one can blame anyone for pre-ordering Destiny and the DLC's, what blows my mind is that even with the sub-par DLC's the myriad of problems with this game that seem to result from apathy or incompetence, people are already gearing up to pre-order the next expansion. I mean -blam!- me, even if you like this game, you can't be blind to the problems the game has, problems that are a direct result of companies like Bungie and Activision selling us flash over substance, and yet people are already chomping at the bit to get -blam!-ed over again. If you like Destiny, I personally am utterly not impressed, but if you are you should actually be more outraged, you should wonder how much better the game you love would be if wasn't butchered by greed, incompetence and corporate machinations. But as I said people already can't wait to be screwed over once again, so at this point I can't even blame Activision or Bungie for screwing us over, it would seem we like getting screwed.
