Trials of Osiris: 32 general tips to ease the pain.

Hello fellow ragers, I'm going to list everything I know that helped us get through Trials of Osiris along with any advice I can give on it if asked. All this is subjective based on my own experience and worked very well for us so take it with a pinch of salt! Buy the boons is obvious, so barring that: Your primary should be an exotic. We ran Vex, Thorn and Last Word/Red Death. One of us also ran The Messenger (adept) for a while 1.- You do not need to run an exotic as your primary. I've killed plenty of people in trials with Up The Ante legendary as my primary and an exotic secondary without a problem. It's all about your familiarity with your weapon of choice and your teams tactics. 2.- Secondary weapons have to be the best you have and have to be levelled fully. 3.- Always good to have a hard-hitting sniper or ideally two on the team. 4.- Spec your class correctly. Warlock self-res is excellent for trickery and general mischief-making. 5.- Check out your rivals' loadouts and learn what they'll use. All thorns? Go extreme close or extreme far, middle-ground in the open is a death sentence. 6.- On spawn, we have a 2-right, 1-left strategy. This splits the red on the radar for opposite team and lets us cast a wider net. 7.- 2 on right are snipers, right-most guy watches tunnel and straight ahead (C point on control), other right guy watches diagonally and middle-top bridge tunnel thing). 8.- Left guy generally distracts, pot-shots and calls what he sees. 9.- Call what you see. 10.- The SECOND there are 2 guys confirmed on radar, everyone should converge on that area and fight depending on what weapons the opposite team use. 11.- If you lose a team mate, the revive is priority. 12.- THE REVIVE IS PRIORITY. 13.- When you down an enemy, watch that corpse like a hawk that is hungry for corpse. 14.- Keep enemies away from this corpse, if there are guys close, spam grenades to clear and confuse/damage them. 15.- Tripmine corpses if you really have to move. 15a: /u/itsameluigi1018: Tripmines oriented horizontally cover more ground than just putting it on the floor right where the ghost is! 16.- When 2 guys are dead, split up but maintain proximity to your team for emergency revive etc. 17.- Keep the last guy away from the red x's. If necessary, get one of your team to crouch and watch for them coming. 18.- Communicate everything! 19.- COMMUNICATE EVERYTHING >:( 20.- Especially WHERE you just killed a guy. 21.- If you go 3-0, get the best player to go super their heavy. Rest of team follows once they have heavy. We ALWAYS contested the enemies heavy. 8 times out of 10, there ended up being no heavy ammo grabbed at all. The other 2 times, we just swapped sides and had a heavy battle. 22.- Do not use your super if you can help it. 23.- Do not show-off, one-many army doesn't work. 24.- One man army sometimes works 25.- Watch gif again and check my radar before and after. I called the enemies out and then proceeded to waste them. I had buddies only a few seconds away and knew I could get revived. 26.- If you spawn on a side you hate and you are getting thumped, run around the map to your opposite spawn locations if possible and play from there. This won matches from us as it confused the hell out of the other team. 27.- Take stock of opposite team's supers, especially Warlock self-res and big hitters like Havoc/Golden Gun. Blade dancers aren't generally a problem for co-ordinate team unless in really close proximity. 28.- Be patient, we only rush-jobbed them when we were winning 4-0. 29.- In a crazy firefight, reviving team mates takes priority. We had an easy last kill and team mate struggled to resist going for it. If he had, there was a revive and self-revive waiting as we found out, so pleased that he came back for us. 30.- During heavy phase, always use rockets. There is a re-rollable Exodus plan (Dead orbit) that has high blast/velocity, 3-in-the-mag and grenades/horseshoes- it's beast. 31.- Even if there's a guy far away and you think it's not worth killing as the revive will happen, just do it. The revive timer gets longer and longer each time you die so this adds to their troubles later on in the round. 32.- Try not to stress towards the end, everyone's in the same boat and keeping calm helps with strategy. Hope this helps anyone trying to get an upper hand in this game mode, any specific questions/ questions on our loadouts etc. let me know and I'll do my best.
