with the new upgrade system shards and energy have become useless unless you still have some old gear that isnt fully upgraded yet. this has left daillys and public events without a somewhat decent reward which makes you want to do these activities. the idea is simple a new reward for these activities could be etheric light shards get inoff and you can make one etheric light. you would get one from the lvl 32 daily's and have a chance of obtaining one from a public event either for doing it or the package. other places this could drop are strikes or pvp matches they would be as rare as a mote or coin maby a bit rarer. i think somewhere between 10 or 15 shards is a reasonable number to make one full etheric light. ways to make them in a full shard could be directly from your inventory when you have inoff. or you have to go to the speaker maby also pay some motes. or xur and maby pay some coins. Please let me know your thoughts on etheric light shards or different drops for daily and public in general. [b]EDIT 1:[/b] another idea for daily and public instead of the etheric shards could be a special currency with a new vendor that sels some new shaders class item and maby some tumbler sparrows in different paintjobs maby even some random legendary gear pieces and weapons from the vendors but with different perks.
