[b]Episode 3[/b] We were only three matches in and had four more to go. After our snipe out with the other fireteam, I went to my quarters to sleep until the next day of training. I opened up my door and saw a note come out from it. I picked it up and read, "ones who choose to fight in iron banner have to make sacrifices." It felt wrong, like a trap. I went to the leaderboards and saw what team we were going up against. It was a full team of warlocks. Each using voidwalker. It felt unsettling to me, like they were planning something. I know this note wasn't a coincidence and it sure as hell wasn't advice. I left to find my team and train for what would come next. We will have to be vigilant and have a good strategy for the coming storm. *** The week had gone by and the day was upon us, we entered like usual on alpha side and I immediately saw relics for salvage. The team knew our strategy and stood in wait for the countdown. "Salvage, obtain relics with your ghosts. Whoever controls all three relics wins, enemies can deactivate and steal relics, team revives enabled." Lord Shaxx announced as we prepared ourselves for the fight. He began counting down and I counted with him, "3, 2, 1." The buzzer sounded. Cat and Toshiro left for our relic which was far from where we were set. Crimson and Noble went for the middle one and Kieran and I went for theirs. "Two warlocks coming towards you two Cat" I said as we sneaked over to their side. All the other four were at their own relic site in the back of the map. Kieran stood up on a ledge and sniped out one warlock killing him. They knew where we were now so Kieran ran to another vantage point to try and snipe again. While he kept them busy, one of the warlocks fled to Noble and Crimsons position. "Warlock nearing to our sides relic" I said through our comms. We continued to keep them pinned when I heard a noise coming from the comms. "Jellal! The warlocks have me and cat pinned down!" Toshiro said through our comms. Kieran nodded at me and I ran to help them. I saw both warlocks with scout rifles shooting at the crates Cat and Toshiro were at. I saw Toshiros ghost trying to maneuver from the bullets as well. I realized that they weren't shooting at them to kill them. They wanted the ghosts. I jumped on the back of one warlock and stabbed the back of his neck. He fell and I through another knife at the other warlocks back. He fell to the floor and grabbed his scout rifle. Toshiros ghost was on the relic now trying to take it. It was slow motion for me. I ran towards him almost like I was in water and watched as he shot Toshiros ghost. It fell down in pieces and Toshiro broke out of cover. The warlock I thought was running towards Noble and Crimson popped up behind him and stole his life with one final blow. Toshiro grabbed the warlock and shoved his autorifle in the warlocks chest. He killed him as the void tore his body to shreds until he was nothing. I fell the the ground and held me chest. Toshiro, the first person I met in the tower. Dead. He's dead. The warlock bleeding from my knife began laughing. I got up and picked him up. I drew a trip mine and took off his helmet. The warlock stopped laughing. "No wait hold on-" he said trying to keep himself alive, it was to late for that. I shoved the trip mine in his mouth and threw him at the wall. His body exploded into little pieces of guardian. His ghost tried to escape but I grabbed it. I looked at it and it looked to me. "This match is no longer ongoing all guardians are to stop fire, alpha team wins by default," Shaxx announced as the titan guards came in to take the Warlocks away. I handed the guard his ghost and fell back to the floor. I knew this would happen, I didn't want to believe it but I knew. This wouldn't stop me. I will win this tournament, for Toshiro. *** I left to my quarters and lay on my bed to think, think about what I could have done to stop Toshiros death. I was even tempted to research vex tech to try and go back in time to save Toshiro. I wanted to so badly. Noble and Crimson came knocking at my door to try and cheer me up. It was no use. "Jellal, we understand what your going through. Trust me. But if you want to continue the iron banner we need another guardian for our team" Crimson said. I opened my door and looked at him, "you don't know what it feels like to have your best friend killed before your very eyes." I said looking at him with anger in my chest. I wanted to explode, explode in furry and destroy an entire fleet of fallen. Noble walked up and punched me in the side of my face. I was tempted to fight back but he began talking, "I know how it feels, and for you to say that is like me saying Toshiros death was in vain. I know how it feels to have them die slowly in your arms with nothing that you can do. If feels like your life is hopeless, but we move on. So get the Fuçk up and help us find someone for our fireteam." Noble said looking straight at me. He was serious and I know that before Crimson and Noble met Cat there was another, they must have been as close as Toshiro and I were. I put on my gear and began walking with them in the tower. "I already know someone that could help with our endeavor, he's an old friend of mine." Noble said as we walked around to the door of another guardians quarters. Noble knocked and a warlock with strange markings on his helmet and robes opened it. "Toland my friend its been a while." Noble said holding out his hand. Toland grabbed it and walked out from his room, "its good to see you Noble, how goes things?" He said looking to us, "We need another guardian for the ironbanner if you'd like to help us, we have 2 more matches and one against lord Saladin and his team." Noble said explaining to the warlock. "For what reason? I will if that's what you wish but id like to know why." Toland questioned grabbing his auto rifle. "We lost a friend in there today, we want to win for him" Noble said as we walked out to the upper tower.
