Well thought out idea to solve inventory and vault space.

Hello everyone, if you have been playing since the HoW release, then your probably in a similar situation as myself. Having all three characters with basically full inventory space for weapons, armor, materials and consumables while having little to no extra vault space. Although I love everything about this dlc, except for exotic handcannons in trials, it is getting very difficult trying to balance what I should keep, what I should discard and what I should put in the vault. This DLC has brought about some new items. Tokens for Variks, Treasure keys, Etheric Light, and more special synthesis than I could ever have wanted. Simple fixes I feel. 1.) Let us discard any item we want, be it a telemetry, ammo synth or glimmer consumable. I don't want to have to keep popping special synths every five minutes to try and get rid of them. 2.) Make certain items stack. Treasure keys do, but not everything else. Most notably the amethyst, which are fairly easy to come by. And certain other items won't stack while others do. 3.) Make vault space like the friends/roster UI. This is the best suggestion I could think of. Instead of adding more squares, turn the vault into a page flipping storage. The UI is already there, if you have your cursor above the Armor slots and hit the Right Trigger, then your armor section will flip to the next page. Same for weapons and materials. Jist like your friends list and roster. If you agree or have any suggestions, feel free to share your opinion! Any idea could be a good idea that should be heard.

  • I couldn't agree more with this! My Destiny experience is now spent juggling weapons and items between characters as my vault is bursting at the seams. I have loved both the PoE and the ToO but as I use different weapons for each of them and need to swop them around I have had to delete literally dozens of weapons as I simply cannot carry or manage them. 1. The point above about allowing the same items to stack is fundamentally important and would be an instant fix, I know nothing about coding but surely it cant be hard to change that number from 20 to 99 or even 999 or 9999. This goes for everything, ammo, keys materials EVERYTHING! Also let me discard or sell anything. 2. With emblems, shaders, ships, class items (cloaks etc) once I have found or "unlocked" them let the special items woman in the tower hold them for me so if I delete them for space I can buy them back whenever I want to for say 1 glimmer or even 5000 glimmer I really dont care how much, I'm a collector and I hate having to delete things. Again this mechanic is already there as she still has the shaders and emblems I got with the pre-launch codes. 3. Uncap glimmer as the cap is ludicrously tiny, make it 99,999 if it cant go above 100,000. I love this game and I even enjoy the grind but glimmer farming takes me away from things in the game I actually enjoy that I think Bungie actually intended us to do like strikes and raids etc. Also let me earn glimmer from raids and PoE, why is there a restriction on that!!! 4. Weapon space in the vault is easily the biggest problem though and I have no clever suggestions except to say make it bigger. 5. I would also like to have a Guardian training area where I can take my new unupgraded weapons to a shooting gallery of sorts and test them as though they were fully upgraded to see how they feel and whether I should keep them or not. If space wasnt an issue I'd keep them all but it is so I cant. I cant see this happening now though but Destiny 2 maybe??
