Secret Treasures in Prison of Elders
DISCLAIMER: This is a topic of conversation. Based solely of speculation. Feel free to leave your input!
If you've finished Prison of Elders, you would take notice that there are 5 rounds. However, after completing the final round, you will gain access to the Treasure Room!
To access the Treasure Room, you need to return to AirLock and drop down to the treasure room.
Before reaching the treasure room, you will see that there are 4 or 5 empty rooms before arriving at the treasure room.
I feel that there are hidden awards (similar to hidden chests in raids) within these empty rooms. There is just enough empty rooms for each round available!
I don't know what variables are used to determine any treasure rewarded at the end. This is the point of this forum post, to create a conversation regarding possible hidden treasure!
There can be different variables that can attend to this, such as finishing a round within a time frame, finishing a round flawlessly, etc!

What if there is a random chance of there being a chest in one of those rooms? Perhaps with a treasure key inside?

3 RepliesIt's where the last two Vog chests are located.... It's just for decoration. Makeing it more suspense going down to the treasure room. I mean we get a lot of good loot from doing poe and they're not too difficult to do or time consuming at all. Adding 4-5 more chest would be ludacris.

1 ReplyReally interesting find. Also if it's of any interest. A glitch occurred for my fireteam last night, and one of the players was spawned under the airlock for the treasure room, before we started round 5. I asked him to see if the chest was there and he went to check. The treasure boxes hadn't spawned yet. This confirms that completing the room is indeed the trigger for the loot to drop and it's not just spawned in from the beginning. Has anyone tried a flawless run of each room?

Come to think of it, I don't think anyone has been running around looking for chests in PoE right? What if there actually are some despite it not being a raid?

I fee like the more times you beat it the more doors will open (weekly) sort of how the crux would drop on the second week of you completing hard crotas end (we will see come Tuesday)

1 ReplyI solod the 32 Poe, flawless, and in a pretty quick timeframe. Never picked up the rewards given and also never used the modifiers, so if primary gun was favored for a modifier I'd use sniper and rockets the entire round and melee. Don't know if this helps but two doors were open as I fell down.

4 RepliesI never actually thought about that but i do believe there is more to prison of elders than we know. So for the past week i been helping my friends with level 34 prion of elders and for some reason sometimes with the cabal arena rounds after you beat the first or second wave (that small break between waves) there will be a Centurion (Those small rocketmicdickface with solar shield enemy) that spawns near a ledge up top. And its werid too because while the fallen guy is talking about how you survived the wave the Centurion [b]spawns[/b] and you only have some time to kill him before he [b]despawns[/b]. When me and my team notice him we try to kill him but we are always too late because we forgot that he spawns there. Has anyone else paid attention to this?

17 RepliesVery possible the rooms are for flawless runs. Take the Trials as example; PvP gets rewarded for their flawless efforts, why not the same or similar reward system for PvE?

If this were a black ops zombies map I might think there's something to this. Alas, it is not, I do believe they are there for show, like 99% of the pretty things in this game, they have just gone to great lengths to make the maps VERY detailed and thought out. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the effort and am behind them 100% but they haven't been hiding much, especially like this.

We did it with no death all the way and we never used supers and tried completing it hella quick but nothing worked

I'd bet it's just to create the illusion of size of the prison, while giving folks a fun little drop into the treasure room.

Im guessing they still have their weapons and are relatively hard because it gives the illusion they have nothing to lose.

1 ReplyI've checked the rooms every time and have yet to see anything. I think they are just there to give you something to land on so you don't die on the way down. But I could be wrong

So I'm not crazy. I imagine there are prerequisites for each floor; and I'm interested into looking into them. Maybe they're part of an elaborate Easter Egg?

I kinda doubt it. I mean the amount of loot you get from those chests you get is pretty ridiculous.
