Destiny Lore Conversation-Archived

This is a group wall conversation took in a group wall. This exactly how it was written, except for names, as they are not mine to give out. "........" signals an area that went off topic.
I wonder if Bungie had intended to use it for something else at one point It's certainly a possibility. Probably I would imagine it is for the future, just released early as a cool reward for being a crucibilian god. Osiris plays a key role in the future progression of the lore. The Taken King (Comet 1, September 2015) is likely where that space will come into use and be accessible by everyone. I was thinking the same thing. The space isn't completely open yet, and there are no vendors, etc. either. But there are plenty of vendor areas to stick people, including faction boxes with the Osiris emblem. Another thing I thought of was the fact that you get grimoire for going there. A developer would never make the lore based on skill. "A developer would never make the lore based on skill." Truth be told, I wouldn't put them above that at this point. .......... When I researched "Taken King" in mythology, I saw a lot of references to the Roman god Jupiter. So this could either be the the leader of the Cabal, or more likely the Nine, as they live in the Jovian area of the Sol System. The reason the Nine are more likely is because they have been having some recent activity, with the release of Skolas, I think the Nine were planning to kill the Queen, where they would be able to take over. I agree. And the Nine would be worth a huge expansion. The 9 are definitely a possibility, but I don't think bungie will release an expansion about them until they at least reveal who a couple more members are. The Taken King could be their leader. Didn't Osiris conspire with Oryx? Also, fighting the Nine = no Xur (their Agent). Bungie will need time to make that change less of a shock. And how about Toland, will we be seeing him at all? Toland is supposed to be dead. Or maybe Xūr will defect to the travelers side. Osiris was corrupted by the Vex, not the Hive. You're thinking of Toland, [REDACTED] Eh, Xûr seems like the person who just seems neutral. Toland is supposedly dead, it's not confirmed yet. What? I thought Kabr was corrupted by the Vex. Xúr is just a puppet. The Nine might have reason for keeping him supplying Guardians. No, Kabr was just part of the Raid team. Kabr made the relic, but I don't know if he was corrupted. Xûr seems to have ties with The Tower and The Vestian Outpost, which might lead to something big Not to mention we haven't seen a House of Kings leader. Taken King=House of Kings maybe? The Queen still trusts the Nine enough to let one of their agents so close to her. Kabr wasn't part of a team, it said that he went into the vault alone. Kabr wasn't part of a team, it said that he went into the vault alone. [Redacted] That could be, but I doubt Bungie will do two Fallen-themed expansions in a row. No, he went with a team. He couldn't escape, because he was a Titan, though, so he was left a lone. ....... Also, anyone notice that there are two vacant spots in the Reef map? ........ Although another idea would be something on Mercury, considering it is already set up in the Director. Saturn and Jupiter will be in the next game. If super outdated info remains true. Yes, they will probably be saved for Xúr or new special events, as Bungie said yesterday "There are battles yet be fought" in HoW. ...and that huge door in front of the Speaker's tower? Where does that go? somewhere ......... I wonder what the new Raids will be. Hopefully it will include my all-time favorite (in concept), Charlemagne'e Vault. I wouldn't doubt it. Because Charlemagne's Vault was originally the only way to get Thorn. Could be a free raid or something for Bungie Day... Or that could just be a pipe dream... ........ Yeah, Bungie Day would be perfect for a free content release. ........ I let you guys theorize and whatnot, but: -Toland is dead (Eris team + mentioned in comparision to Osiris and the Vex) -Kabr's team is sketchy. Most assume "he went in alone, but he was not alone" to mean that his team was erased by the Gorgons. Pahanin was not one of them, and he died to the Thorn in Crucible (much like me in ToO) -The Queen doesn't trust the Nine. She is planning for their oncoming assault (read the Prison grimoire and the stuff on Osiris and Reef The Queens Guard is going to take the Jovian king. Toland has still never been absolutely confirmed to be dead. Doubt it. For all we know, the Nine could have repaired the First Fleet. Or at least stolen the technology from the wreckage. Kabr's mind was messed with by the Darkness. He couldn't remember his team. But he did have a team. They just died in the raid. This could be true, but I tend to believe he went in there alone. I agree, the fallen are the only ones using strategy so far. The Hive and Vex are caught up in their religious endeavors. Which is a good statement And the Fallen seem to have a deep back story as the keep saying stuff about a certain "Great Machine" we probably know about. The canal are definitely using strategy. *Cabal Cabal are too undeveloped and underappreciated. Yeah Both due to Bungie doing shit all with Mars. But they're the only race smart enough to make shields to block bullets and in their intro or description it says they blow up planets for fun. I'd say that's pretty good strategy. But they're the only race smart enough to make shields to block bullets and in their intro or description it says they blow up planets for fun. I'd say that's pretty good strategy. Being technologically superior =/= good strategists. ....... Think about it, the cabal destroy a few planets. So those planets can no longer oppose them, plus  others hear about it and it causes widespread fear of the cabal. And on top of that, they're taking over mars. Which clearly has some interesting secrets. (I'm pretty sure that the black garden is just the tip of the iceberg) Meh. I'm hoping _______l's wishes come true on a CV raid, as it opens a butt ton of opportunities for the Cabal. They lose resources by blowing up planets. If blowing up planets was a stategy then Gaurdians would be blowing up all the other planets around them Guardians won't blow up planets, not due to recourses but because they hold themselves to a high standard. If there is a chance that there is non hostile life they can't kill it. Plus does it really seem like the cabal need recourses? They all wear thick heavy armor and have rocket pulse rifles. I'd say they're doing well already. ........... The Cabal are on the run so yeah they can use as much resources as they can get. They have primitive technology and need to catch up. Vex are already taking over Mars Explain to me how they are on the run or how they're tech is primitive. They have bullet proof shields which no other race does and burst fire rocket launchers. blullet proof but not electrified knife proof lel The Cabal still have an Empire somewhere out there, they could be on their way. They are on the run, but there technology is most certainly not primitive. Not even relatively primitive. Phalanxes have learned to break the laws of physics. That shield bash... Seems pretty advanced to me. The Shield Bash has a hidden ability that can proc against guardians which sends them to the stars. My dream- http://media.kotaku.foxtrot.future.net.uk/wp-content/uploads/sites/52/2014/08/Vault.jpg Far and away my favorite concept. The second was that snowy Walker. What could possibly have the cabal on the run? What race is Charlemagne? Master race Weren't the Destiny Charlemagne a Warmind? Charlemagne was the Warmind that was stationed on Mars The Cabal would probably we on the run on from the Darkness if anything. Unless there is a third party at play. And Charlemagne's Vault is probably where he was operating from, so to say. That's what I think. That would make sense, as Seraphim is inside "Seraphim Vault". Yeah, I was there quite often. And perhaps what is (or was) inside Charlemagne's Vault is what the Cabal are looking for on Mars, as is teased in some of the Grimoire and that Dinklebot said "The Cabal are looking for something in Freehold" in the mission "The Buried City". Such as Golden Age technology...which we know for certain is part of what the Cabal are looking for. But what could it be? Fortune and riches? I don't think the Cabal would need that. Might be super-advanced technology? It kinda looks sometimes what we Humans took what all the other races want. All has to do with the Traveler. Maybe it's the warmind itself they want. My guess is that the Traveler has been to each of the races at some point, but some reacted differently. The Vex worshipped it as a god because they could not understand it, the Hive were born from the Darkness, or were so corrupt that they became its slaves, the Cabal might be chasing it, as they might think the Traveler is still on Mars, unaware of its presence on Earth, and the Fallen, probably the most recent to be touched, were destroyed by the Darkness like... ...humanity, and they chase it, hoping for it to give back their lost power. @_____ Doubtful. Charlemagne was destroyed during the Collapse, or at least his presence on Mars, as it is possible he could be part of the Nine, of which he would be beyond Mars by a great deal.
Conversation continues in reply....
