So, lagswitching is a thing
I just faced a lagswitching team, on the final round, as they were rushing us, all of the connection-bas went to red, they closed the gap by teleporting, despite not having blink, and my shots didn't register. It's a really annoying thing to run into. And before all the "elitist" bastard start with their "Git gud scrub, herpaderp", i've played FPS games the last 10 years, so i know a lagswitch when i see it. What's being done about this?

Was against a lag switch team yesterday. Faced the same team twice in a row! Though they seemed to stop using it after the first match. Would bungie using dedicated servers stop lag switchers?

Yup, caused up our flawless ToO on out 9th game to make us go 9-1. We were up against 3 lagswitching sunsinging warlocks. We were maleeing then in the face way too make times and they would just take it and disapear to the other side of the map.

3 RepliesIdk why people are so hostile. I see lag switchers ALL THE TIME in destiny! It's nothing new. It's very annoying but all you can really do is report them. If you can capture video and post it to the forums, even better.

Win a round but it wont end, got all 3 dead bodies in sight, sudenly message that warlock selfresses and already had landed a punch and revived a teammate who went into bladedancer and skipping its animation. Needless to say, we got wrecked that round. Afterwards the score screen showed all red bars and it took several minutes for the next match to start (so still watching a scoreboard going apeshit about the pings). Next round, all green, not a hint of lag, until the match afterwards the same happens when the warlock selfresses again (somehow managed to survive that round). And in the heavy round im sure one of those guys tanked at least 3 rockets...

Y'all mother -blam!-er will cry lag switch and you don't even know what the -blam!- it looks like in game. Reading some comments just shows how stupid of a community this is. Ran into this also on my titans 9-0 run, last win we needed and they were down 4-1 they all went red on the last round, we still beat them

What's being done about this?[/quote] Lag switching is fps age old. Whether intended or not, if you are lagging, it can give you an edge with the disruption it creates. It makes it near impossible to anticipate a player move.

That happened to me. We were all green bar and we had a 4-1 lead. After that, their connections went red bar and they become immortal.

When the switch is activated bungies servers kick you for throttling your own connection near instantly. It's almost impossible to properly standby/lag switch. People noticing extreme lag are often playing against rivals using a rival Internet provider. It's like Shaw and Telus. They are at war so when 1 person from each side plays together one of them is going to experience worse lag.

But my teamates and i destroyed 3 teams that did it and in 2 matches they use the higher level in lagswitch and got kicked.. It was hilarious.. we made ti tge lighthouse but yeah there are so many teams doing it... I hope they get ban out of pvp or punish hard

You think that's bad some how they switch the score and drop us to 0 it was 4-3 then lag for 3 min on score board and when we spawned it was 0-4
