Vanguard Commendations-- Gone?
I heard a rumor prior to HoW release, that Vanguard Commendations might go away. I have 9 of them. Are they gone, or can we turn them in for glimmer or a mote of light, a coin, something...?
Please Bungie, consider some adding this ability to Xur as a black marketeer, to exchange such things for something useful, we worked hard to get them.

You can use them as consumables to give you 250 rep to your faction. You get just over 300 per commendation if you've already completed the nightfall
