House of wolves will be coming out soon so I thought I'd break down some useful info for everyone. Most of you prolly know most of this cuz if your like me you've been following all the live streams and news but for those who haven't I hope this helps. 1. Prison Of The Elders Prison of the elders is your new end game activity. You and 2 friends will go up against waves of enemy's in differently themed areas depending on who your fighting like the vex, cabal, fallen or hive. There's 4 main rounds and a 5th boss round. You need to survive 3 waves per round(I think it was) with the occasional objective like disarm the bombs or kill a VIP thrown into the mix. This activity comes in multiple levels of difficulty with level 35 being the highest. The lowest level(28 I believe?) will have matchmaking. 2. Trials Of Osiris Trials of Osiris is a new PVP event happening every weekend that puts you and 2 friends up against another team in a no Respawns battle to the death. Reviving is permitted. There is no matchmaking for this activity. Each match is a best of 5 rounds match. Your goal is to get to 9 match wins before losing 3 matchs. the longer you last the better the rewards will be. There are consumables that will in some way effect wins and losses but little is known about them. Bungie will be matchmaking these events using your connection quality to ensure (as much as possible) a good fair fight just watch out for those thorns...their murder. 3. The new light level & getting there The light level is being raised from 32 to 34 in house of wolves. Getting there will be easier then it was in the dark below. I'm including a link to a good guide on how to hit light LvL 34 very early so go ahead and check that out but make sure you come back cuz I have a few tips myself that aren't mentioned there. http://www.gamechup.com/destiny-guide-how-to-get-to-level-34-on-day-1-in-house-of-wolves/ 3.5- Now for a few of my own tips on light level. Before house of wolves releases raise all of your clans like future war cult or new monarchy to just below the limit to increase the level. When the DLC drops do a bounty with each of their class items equipped to push them to the new level earning you a package for every faction you level up possibly containing new HOW gear. This will be a good jump start to getting some of that new level gear you need. If your like me you prolly have a ton of commendations laying around. You can use those to increase your reputation with factions even more to earn yourself another new package. 4. Leveling your gear They way gear and weapon leveling will work is a bit different. To upgrade an exotic all you need is an exotic shard. You keep all you progression it just raises the weapon or armor to the new max damage. Etheric light will be used to level any legendary weapons and armor up to the new max level. This means all your VOG, Crota and vender legendarys can now be used at the new max level. It also means you can make your own style and look different without losing those valuable light levels because you wanted to wear your VOG gear. Etheric light can be earned in the nightfall, iron banner as a possible drop, the prison of the elders higher levels and I believe it can be a drop in the trials of Osiris. 5. PVP Once HOW drops all the DLC maps from TDB will move into the standard playlists for everyone to enjoy even if you didn't purchase TDB. 3 new PVP maps are being added and a 4th playstation exclusive map if your on the playstation platforms.
