Lore Speculation - Origin of The Hive

Hi there, Everyone! I wasn't sure where else to post this, and I don't know how well topics of this nature are received by the community, but after watching a few videos about Destiny's lore and reading the Grimoire Cards I came up with my own ideas/headcanon about certain possible unanswered elements in this universe. Specifically, those having to with the origins of The Hive. ((I am sure this goes with saying, but this is just my idea for the Hive's overall background should not be taken as fact as they may be the farthest thing from it. Still I hope you all find this is an interesting read and that I am not postulating an idea that has already done a million times already.)) Let's imagine that long ago, perhaps even before Humanity had yet to evolve fully, there existed a sapient, technologically-savvy species. Let's imagine this aforementioned species was at war with another species of equal or greater power than that of it's own and was losing the war. So this hypothetical species needed an edge, something that allow them to turn the tide on their formidable adversary. In a spur of horrific genius, they came up with this idea: To repurpose the corpses of their dead ( and even the dead of their enemies ) into reanimated soldiers. After all, why bury and burn the dead when you could recycle them. But how could they achieve such a feat? Well, let's add another element to this situation...The Darkness. What if this species found a way to harness and manipulate the Darkness in such a way that they make their undead army a reality? They might've had an unstoppable force on their hands. So now we say our hypothetical species decided to follow through on this plan now having all the necessary components to make it happen. Now they have an army of monsters made up of the dead, they have their Swarm, they have their Hive. But where do entities like Oryx and Crota come in? Well, every Army needs a general, correct? In this speculation, Oryx is the champion and avatar of this Undead Army, bred and groomed to lead the Hive to ceaseless victory. Those like Crota, would be based upon Oryx's visage and become like him as the Hive grew. Eventually, thanks to The Hive, our above mentioned species would triumph over their enemies...but the war wasn't over. The Hive, born out of desperation from dark power, refused to stop their conquest, It's generals such as Oryx grew so powerful as to develop their own malignant intent and machinations outside their creator's will. As Oryx was meant to lead the Hive, he turned his immediate attention to his creators as the next victim of his conquest. The Hive's creators fought back, but ultimately fell to the unrestrained might of their fiendish creation. After that, Oryx would continue his campaign of domination to the rest of the stars, but no longer as a general... but as the head of a Pantheon, a god having been born of the Darkness. Eventually, Oryx and others like him would've lost physical form and transcended into level of reality, perhaps truly becoming one with the Darkness again. They would become the icons that the vast legions of The Hive would worship and call on for power. So what do you all think this? Thoughts? Anything anyone would like to add? I'd love to hear from you all!
