Will old pre TDB (legacy) gear and weapon ever return?
I've been wondering if the old gear will return to the game now that the ability to ascend has been introduced.

I don't know but I would strongly suggest getting any gear that you like from the vendors before they swap over to the new gear.

You have a very small chance of getting them from legendary engrams, I imagine that won't change. It would be could if they did though.
