Okay, that's a little dramatic, but honestly does anyone else feel like they have been occurring less frequently? Not too long ago I used to run circles on the moon knocking these out.

Not really having trouble with the timer, but on a related topic it's also especially frustrating to do all the work, then have some random mofo show up in the end who kills like 1 enemy and THAT guy gets a shard or energy and you get shit. :)

Just get the app that's tells you when and where there at

See, I am starting to think it has to do with something on my end. Last morning I was tracking public events on the moon when the sky went dark in Archers Line as I had hoped, however I did not have a way point for to join the event. I did see the drop ships for the extraction crew, and only after killing a few fallen did finally join the event. I'm really drawing at straws here, but it sounds like I am the only one having an issue.

I find it more accurate these days,it was updated about 3 months ago but i only really follow the greens, certain areas do vary more i find earth (except stepps) quite accurate,it just feels like we waiting a little longer cause before you probably wasted a little time looking for blade of crota but now you cant

The moon has only 3 public event locations..

they do seem to show up "on time" less frequently. In case you aren't aware of it, http://destinypublicevents.com/ is pretty good. the Destiny timers app was apparently broken when DST started and I don't recall seeing an update for it yet- all I know is last time I used it, it was totally wrong

There's an app you can download that gives estimated times and locations of public events. Get there a few minutes before it says it starts.
